1. Setup
1.1 Powering On/Off Devices
Before beginning the pairing process, ensure all devices are powered off. This includes your two-way radio, the PRYMEBLU® BT-501-V2 adapter, any Bluetooth headset or wireless audio accessory, and the PRYMEBLU® PTT button.
For the PRYMEBLU® PTT button, the power switch may be located on the outside or inside, depending on the model. If it's on the inside, gently rotate the housing counter-clockwise to open it. Use a ballpoint pen or paper clip to move the switch to the "on" position.

1.2 Disabling Bluetooth on Other Devices
To prevent interference during the pairing process, power off or disable Bluetooth on any nearby wireless devices such as phones or tablets. These devices can be safely powered back on once all components are successfully paired.
1.3 Initial Pairing: Headset to Adapter
The process for pairing your Bluetooth headset or wireless audio accessory to the PRYMEBLU® BT-501-V2 adapter is covered in a separate instructional video. Ensure this step is completed before attempting to connect the PTT button to the adapter.
1.4 Adapter Pairing Mode (Headset)
To put the adapter into the pairing mode for a Bluetooth headset, hold down the button on the PRYMEBLU® BT-501-V2 wireless adapter while powering on the two-way radio. Continue holding the button until the LED light on the adapter begins to flash two times per second. You can then release the button. The adapter is now in pairing mode for connecting a Bluetooth headset or wireless audio accessory.
Video: This video demonstrates the pairing process for a PRYMEBLU® PTT button with a PRYMEBLU® Wireless Adapter. It covers powering off devices, disabling Bluetooth on other devices, and initiating pairing modes for both the adapter and the PTT button. The video also shows the LED indicators during the pairing sequence.
1.5 PTT Button Pairing Mode
Once the adapter is in headset pairing mode (LED flashing two times per second), press and then release the button on the adapter again. The LED indicator on the adapter will now change to showing three flashes each second. This indicates that it is now in pairing mode and ready to be connected to the wireless PTT button.
To complete the pairing process, simply power the PRYMEBLU® wireless PTT button on. As soon as the button is powered on, the LED on the adapter will revert to a single flash per second, indicating that the devices are now connected to each other.

2. Operating
2.1 Basic Operation
Once the Bluetooth headset and PTT button are both connected to the adapter, you should hear RX audio through the headset. You can transmit by pressing and holding either the PRYMEBLU® wireless PTT button or the PTT button located directly on the PRYMEBLU® BT-501-V2 adapter.
The wireless PTT button will not cause the radio to transmit unless there is also an audio accessory connected to the adapter.

3. Maintenance
3.1 Safety Information
Always follow the instructions provided with your specific radio model. Do not charge the adapter if your radio supplies power through the 2-pin connector. Keep the adapter away from heat sources and avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures. Do not dispose of the adapter in regular trash; follow local regulations for electronic waste disposal.
3.2 Cleaning
To clean the adapter, gently wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the device.
3.3 Battery Information
The PRYMEBLU® BT-501-V2 adapter attaches directly to the radio and draws power from the radio itself, eliminating the need for separate battery charging for the adapter. Ensure your radio's battery is adequately charged for optimal performance.
4. Troubleshooting
4.1 Pairing Issues
If you experience difficulties pairing your wireless accessory with the adapter, please review the "Pair a PRYMEBLU button with a PRYMEBLU Wireless Adapter" video provided in the Setup section. Ensure all devices are powered off before attempting to re-pair. Also, temporarily disable Bluetooth on any nearby personal devices (phones, tablets) to avoid interference.
4.2 Connectivity Issues
If the adapter or PTT button loses connection, ensure both the radio and the connected headset/audio accessory are powered on and within range. The devices are designed to remember each other even if powered off or restarted, so they should automatically reconnect.
