4. Gameplay Overview
In Harmonies, players take turns to build their personal landscapes and attract animals. The game combines 3D landscape creation, tile placement, and pattern development, offering a deep and satisfying experience.
Each turn involves a series of actions focused on expanding your landscape and fulfilling the habitat requirements of animal cards. The goal is to create an ecosystem where animals thrive, earning you victory points.

5. Detailed Turn Structure
During your turn, you will perform the following actions:
- Take and Place Tiles: Select one of the available sets of colored tokens from the central board. Place these tokens onto the hexagonal spaces of your personal board. You can stack tokens to create 3D landscapes.
- Choose an Animal Card (Optional): You may choose one face-up Animal Card from the display. Each player can have a maximum of four active Animal Cards at any time.
- Place Scoring Cubes: If your landscape configuration on your personal board matches the habitat requirements shown on any of your active Animal Cards, you may place an Animal Cube on the corresponding space on the card. Completing all habitat requirements on an Animal Card allows you to score it and remove it from your active cards.
Tactical decisions involve choosing token sets that best fit your current animal card objectives and planning for future animal attractions.

6. Scoring
Victory points are primarily earned by completing Animal Cards. Each Animal Card specifies a unique set of landscape patterns or token arrangements that must be present on your personal board. Once these conditions are met, you place Animal Cubes on the card. When all cube spaces on a card are filled, the card is scored, and its points are added to your total.
The game ends when a certain condition is met (e.g., a player fills their board or a specific number of rounds are completed, as detailed in the rulebook). The player with the most victory points wins.
7. Game Modes
Harmonies offers versatile gameplay options:
- Standard Mode: For 2-4 players, focusing on competitive landscape building and animal attraction.
- Solo Mode: A dedicated mode for single players to enjoy the strategic challenge of creating the most harmonious landscape.
- Expert Mode: Incorporates Nature's Spirit cards, adding an additional layer of complexity and strategic depth to the game.
