Introduction
The Mail Chime Wireless Mailbox Alert System provides a convenient way to know when your mail has arrived. This system consists of a battery-operated sensor (transmitter) installed inside your mailbox and a plug-in receiver unit for your home. When the mailbox door is opened, the sensor sends a signal to the receiver, which then alerts you with both an LED light and an audible chime.
This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of your Mail Chime system.

Before beginning installation, please verify that all components are present:

Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to set up your Mail Chime Wireless Mailbox Alert System:
Step 1: Prepare the Transmitter
- Separate the Transmitter Base: Gently slide the base off the main transmitter unit. This base is where the double-sided tape will be applied.
- Attach Double-Sided Tape: Peel one side of the protective film from the provided double-sided tape and firmly press it onto the flat side of the transmitter base. Ensure the tape covers the designated area.
- Reattach Transmitter: Slide the transmitter unit back onto its base.

Step 2: Install the Transmitter in Your Mailbox
- Clean the Mounting Surface: Choose a flat, clean, and dry surface inside your mailbox door. Wipe the area thoroughly to ensure proper adhesion of the tape.
- Position the Transmitter: Peel the remaining protective film from the double-sided tape on the transmitter base. Carefully position the transmitter inside the mailbox door. Ensure the "UP" arrows on the transmitter face upwards when the mailbox door is closed. The transmitter should be placed where it will detect the door opening.
- Secure the Transmitter: Press the transmitter firmly onto the cleaned surface for at least 30 seconds to ensure strong adhesion.

Step 3: Plug in the Receiver
Plug the Mail Chime receiver into any standard electrical outlet inside your home. The receiver should be placed in a location where the audible alert can be easily heard and the LED light can be seen.

Operating Instructions
Once installed, the Mail Chime system operates automatically:
- Mail Delivery Alert: When your mailbox door is opened, the transmitter sends a signal to the receiver.
- Audible Chime: The receiver will emit an audible chime (beeps 4 times) to notify you of mail delivery.
- Visual LED Alert: Simultaneously, a bright LED light on the receiver will flash to provide a visual alert, especially useful if the chime is not heard. The light continues to flash after the chime.
- Resetting the Alert: To stop the flashing LED and silence the alert, press the button on the front of the receiver unit.
- Range: The system has a long-range capability, working up to 500 feet from the mailbox to the receiver, depending on environmental factors and obstructions.

Maintenance
The Mail Chime system requires minimal maintenance:
- Battery Replacement: The transmitter is battery-operated. When the signal strength weakens or the unit stops transmitting, it may be time to replace the battery. The system uses an Alkaline battery. Refer to the battery compartment on the transmitter for specific battery type and replacement instructions.
- Cleaning: Periodically wipe the exterior of both the transmitter and receiver with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Weather Protection: The transmitter is designed for outdoor use and is weather-protected (IP55 rated). However, extreme weather conditions may affect performance. Ensure the mailbox is in good condition to protect the sensor.
