- Heat Hazard: The grill plate becomes very hot during use. Always use oven mitts or heat-resistant gloves when handling. Allow to cool completely before cleaning or storing.
- Induction Use Only: This grill plate is specifically designed for induction cooktops. Do not use on other heat sources unless explicitly stated as compatible.
- Stable Placement: Ensure the grill plate is placed stably and centrally on the induction cooking zone.
- Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the hot grill plate.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation when cooking, especially when grilling foods that produce smoke.
- No Empty Heating: Do not heat the grill plate empty for extended periods, as this can cause damage.

3. Before First Use
- Unpack: Carefully remove the grill plate from its packaging. Inspect for any damage.
- Clean: Wash the grill plate thoroughly with warm water and a mild dish soap. Rinse well and dry completely with a soft cloth.
- Seasoning (Optional but Recommended): Although the plate has an enamel coating, a light seasoning can further enhance its non-stick properties and protect the cast iron. Apply a thin layer of cooking oil (e.g., vegetable oil, flaxseed oil) to the entire cooking surface. Heat the plate on low to medium heat for 10-15 minutes until the oil begins to smoke slightly. Let it cool, then wipe off any excess oil. Repeat this process 1-2 times.
4. Setup
Place the Arebos Induction Grill Plate directly onto your induction cooktop. Ensure it is centered over the cooking zone(s) for optimal heat transfer. For cooktops with flexible induction zones, position the plate to cover the entire flexible area.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Using on Induction Cooktops
- Place the grill plate on the induction cooking zone(s).
- Turn on your induction cooktop and select the desired heat setting.
- The cast iron material will heat up quickly and evenly. Allow a few minutes for the plate to reach the desired cooking temperature.
5.2. Temperature Control
Start with medium heat settings and adjust as needed. Cast iron retains heat very well, so lower settings might be sufficient for maintaining temperature once heated.
5.3. Cooking with Ribbed and Smooth Surfaces
- Ribbed Section: Ideal for grilling meats (steaks, burgers), poultry, and vegetables to achieve characteristic grill marks and allow fat to drain.
- Smooth Section: Perfect for cooking delicate items like eggs, pancakes, crepes, or searing vegetables and fish without grill marks.
- You can use both sections simultaneously to cook different foods at once.
6. Care and Maintenance
Proper care will ensure the longevity and performance of your Arebos Induction Grill Plate.
- Cool Down: Always allow the grill plate to cool completely before cleaning. Submerging a hot cast iron plate in cold water can cause thermal shock and damage.
- Manual Cleaning Only: This grill plate is NOT dishwasher safe. Hand wash only.
- Washing: Use warm water, a mild dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge or brush. For stubborn food residues, you can gently scrape with a plastic scraper or use a paste of baking soda and water.
- Drying: Dry the grill plate immediately and thoroughly after washing to prevent rust. You can place it on low heat on the cooktop for a few minutes to ensure it is completely dry.
- Storage: Store the clean, dry grill plate in a dry place.

7. Troubleshooting
- Food Sticking: Ensure the plate is adequately preheated before adding food. Use a small amount of cooking oil or fat. If the issue persists, re-season the plate as described in 'Before First Use'.
