Introduction

This instruction manual provides detailed steps for converting your compatible Delta Children Emerson Convertible Crib into a full-size bed using the CC KITS Full-Size Conversion Kit Bed Rails. This kit is designed to provide a secure and comfortable transition for your child as they grow.

Please ensure all the following components are present before beginning assembly:

• 2 x Wooden Bed Rails (with brackets on the ends)
• 4 x Support Slats
• 8 x Washers
• 8 x Screws
• 8 x Allen Bolts
• 1 x Allen Key/Wrench
• 1 x Screwdriver (optional, not included)

Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps carefully to convert your crib into a full-size bed. It is recommended to have two adults for assembly.

1. Step 1: Disassemble the Crib

   Completely disassemble your crib according to its original instruction sheet. Keep all bolts and the mattress support for future use. If you are starting from a toddler bed or daybed configuration, retrieve your footboard from storage and proceed with the following steps. If your footboard has legs attached from the side rails, remove these legs and attach them to the footboard.
2. Step 2: Attach Bed Rails to Headboard

   Attach each bed rail to the headboard using two Allen bolts with washers. Ensure the bolts are securely tightened.

3. Step 3: Attach Bed Rails to Footboard

   Attach the other end of the bed rails to the footboard in the same manner, using two Allen bolts with washers for each rail. Ensure all connections are firm and stable.
4. Step 4: Install Support Slats

   Attach the four support slats using the eight screws provided with a screwdriver. Recommended placement: Place one slat near the headboard, one near the footboard, and space the remaining two evenly in between. This provides foundational support for the mattress.

Usage and Mattress Support

A mattress support is required for the conversion kit. The kit includes four support slats. For optimal support and to forgo a box spring, an additional set of slats can be purchased separately to keep the mattress lower and provide comprehensive support.

Consider purchasing a safety rail (sold separately) to allow your child to climb in and out of bed while preventing falls. For enhanced protection, two safety rails can be used.

Maintenance

To maintain the quality and appearance of your CC KITS bed rails:

• Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Periodically check all bolts and connections to ensure they remain tight.
• Keep the bed rails away from direct sunlight and extreme temperature changes to prevent wood warping or fading.

Troubleshooting

• Issue: Bed rails do not fit the crib posts.

  Solution: This conversion kit is designed for specific crib models. However, due to different production runs, the brackets may not fit perfectly. Please contact CC KITS for alternate brackets at no extra charge.

• Issue: Bed feels unstable after assembly.

  Solution: Ensure all bolts and screws are fully tightened. Verify that the headboard, footboard, and bed rails are correctly aligned and connected. If instability persists, re-check the assembly steps or contact support.

• Issue: Mattress sags or lacks adequate support.

  Solution: The kit includes 4 slats. For enhanced support, especially without a box spring, consider purchasing additional slats (sold separately) to distribute weight more evenly across the bed frame.
