Introduction

This manual provides instructions for assembling and using your CC KITS Full-Size Conversion Kit Bed Rails. This kit is designed to convert compatible Delta Children convertible cribs into a full-size bed, utilizing the existing crib headboard and footboard.

Note: Additional slats, mattresses, and safety bed rail guards are sold separately and are not included in this kit.

Setup and Assembly

Assembly typically takes 20-30 minutes. Two adults are recommended for safe and efficient assembly.

Assembly Steps:

1. Prepare the Crib: Disassemble your convertible crib by removing the side rails. Retain the headboard and footboard, as these will form the ends of your new full-size bed. Use an allen key to remove screws at the footboard and headboard.
2. Attach Bed Rails to Headboard: Take one bed rail from the kit. Align the pre-drilled holes on the bed rail with the corresponding attachment points on the headboard. If the pre-packaged hooks do not fit securely, test the alternate hooks provided in the kit to find the most secure fit. Replace the pre-packaged hooks with the new hooks if necessary, securing them in place with the allen key.
3. Secure Bed Rails to Footboard: Once the bed rails are securely attached to the headboard, move to the footboard. Align the other end of the bed rails with the attachment points on the footboard and secure them using the provided hardware.
4. Install Support Slats: Place the four wooden support slats evenly across the bed rails. Secure each slat to the bed rails using the provided screws. These slats provide foundational support for your mattress.
5. Add Mattress: Place your full-size mattress directly onto the secured support slats.

Operating and Usage

Once assembled, your crib has been successfully converted into a full-size bed. This bed is designed to support a full-size mattress directly on the provided slats. The bed frame is designed to support up to 600 pounds when paired with additional slats (sold separately).

Mattress Support Options:

The kit includes four support slats. For optimal support and to keep the mattress lower, additional slats can be purchased. Using slats instead of a box spring can lower the mattress by up to 10 inches, making it easier and safer for children to get in and out of bed.

Ensure the mattress is properly centered on the slats to prevent shifting.

Care and Maintenance
