3. Setup

3.1. Package Contents

Verify that all items are present in the package:

3.2. Connecting the Keyboard

The F87 Pro keyboard supports three connection modes: Wired, 2.4 GHz Wireless, and Bluetooth.

3.2.1. Wired Connection

1. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard's USB-C port.
2. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to an available USB port on your computer.
3. The keyboard will be automatically detected and ready for use.

3.2.2. 2.4 GHz Wireless Connection

1. Locate the 2.4G wireless receiver (USB dongle).
2. Plug the 2.4G wireless receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
3. Ensure the keyboard's mode switch (usually on the back or side) is set to 2.4G wireless mode.

4. Operation

4.1. Basic Functions

• Power On/Off: Use the physical switch on the keyboard to turn it on or off.
• Charging: Connect the USB-C cable to charge the keyboard. The indicator light will show charging status. The keyboard features a 4000mAh battery.

4.2. RGB Backlighting Control

The F87 Pro keyboard offers customizable RGB backlighting. Use the following key combinations to control the lighting effects:

• Fn + \ |: Change backlight effect mode.

3. To install a new keycap, align it with the switch stem and press down firmly until it clicks into place.

5.3. Replacing Switches (Hot-Swappable)

The F87 Pro features hot-swappable switches, allowing you to change them without soldering.

1. First, remove the keycap using the keycap puller.
2. Use the switch puller to grip the top and bottom clips of the switch.
3. Gently pull the switch straight up to remove it from the PCB.
4. To install a new switch, ensure its pins are straight. Align the pins with the holes on the PCB and press down firmly until the switch clicks into place. Do not force the switch if it doesn't go in easily; check pin alignment.
