1. Introduction

Please read this manual carefully before assembly and use to ensure proper setup and safe operation.

2. Safety Instructions

• Always supervise your pet while they are in the playpen.
• Ensure all connections are securely fastened before placing your pet inside.
• Do not use the playpen on uneven surfaces to prevent tipping.
• Keep children away from the playpen during assembly and ensure they do not climb on or play with the enclosure.
• Regularly inspect the playpen for any damaged parts, sharp edges, or loose components. Discontinue use if damage is found.
• This playpen is designed for small to medium-sized dogs. Ensure your pet's shoulder height is less than 50 cm to prevent jumping over.
• Do not modify the product in any way, as this may compromise its safety and stability.

4. Setup and Assembly

Assembly of the PawHut Modular Dog Playpen is quick and straightforward, requiring no tools.

Step 1: Unpack Components

Carefully remove all panels and ground stakes from the packaging. Lay them out on a clean, flat surface to ensure all parts are accounted for.

Step 2: Connect Panels

Stand two panels upright. Align the connecting rods of one panel with the loops of the adjacent panel. Slide the connecting rod downwards through the loops to secure the panels together. Repeat this process for all 6 panels, forming your desired shape.

Step 3: Secure the Gate Panel

Ensure the panel with the integrated gate is positioned where you desire access. Connect it like any other panel. The gate features a secure latch for easy opening and closing.

Step 4: Use Ground Stakes (for Outdoor Use)

For outdoor use, insert the provided ground stakes through the loops at the bottom of the panels and firmly push them into the ground. This provides additional stability and prevents the playpen from shifting.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Configuration Options

The modular design allows for various shapes to best suit your space and pet's needs. Common configurations include:

• Octagonal: Connect all 6 panels in a circular arrangement.
• Rectangular: Arrange panels to form a rectangular shape.
• Square: Form a square enclosure.
• Linear Barrier: Use the panels as a long barrier, potentially secured to a wall.

5.2 Indoor and Outdoor Use

The playpen is constructed from durable steel with an anti-corrosion epoxy finish, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. For outdoor use, remember to utilize the ground stakes for added stability.

5.3 Door Operation

The integrated gate allows for easy access to your pet. To open, lift the latch and swing the door open. To close, swing the door shut and ensure the latch securely engages.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe down the panels with a damp cloth and mild soap as needed. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely to prevent rust, especially after outdoor use.
• Inspection: Periodically check all panel connections and the gate latch for tightness and proper function.
• Storage: When not in use, the panels can be folded flat for compact storage. Store in a dry place to prolong product life.

7. Troubleshooting

• Panels not connecting smoothly: Ensure the connecting rods are properly aligned with the loops. Gently wiggle the panels to help the rod slide down.
• Playpen feels unstable: Verify that all panel connections are fully engaged. For outdoor use, ensure ground stakes are firmly pushed into the soil. On smooth indoor surfaces, consider placing a non-slip mat underneath.
• Gate latch is stiff or difficult to operate: Check for any obstructions. A small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to the moving parts of the latch if needed.
• Pet escaping: Ensure the gate is securely latched. Confirm your pet's shoulder height is below 50 cm, as this playpen is designed for small to medium-sized pets.
