Installing the Guide Bar and Chain
- Ensure the battery pack is removed from the pruning saw.
- Remove the blade protection cover.

Cutting Techniques
- General Cutting: Place the bottom of the guide bar against the branch to be cut. Allow the saw to reach full speed before engaging the wood. Apply light, consistent pressure.
- Avoid Kickback: Be aware of the guide bar tip. Do not cut with the tip of the bar. Avoid cutting multiple branches simultaneously.
- Branch Support: For larger branches, make an undercut first to prevent pinching and splintering.
- Maximum Diameter: This pruning saw is designed for cutting wood and branches up to a diameter corresponding to the length of the 5-inch guide bar. Do not attempt to cut larger diameters.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your pruning saw.
Cleaning
- After Each Use: Remove the battery pack. Use a brush or compressed air to clean sawdust and debris from the motor housing, guide bar, and chain.
- Guide Bar Rails: To maximize bar life, the bar rails that carry the chain should be cleaned every time the chain is removed or before storing the tool if the bar or chain appear dirty.
- Do not use water or solvents to clean the tool.
Chain Sharpening and Tensioning
- Chain Tension: Check chain tension frequently. A properly tensioned chain should be snug against the guide bar but still allow you to pull it freely by hand. Refer to the manual for specific tensioning procedures using the adjustment mechanism.
- Chain Sharpening: A dull chain will reduce cutting efficiency and increase kickback risk. Sharpen the chain regularly or replace it when necessary. Consult a professional for sharpening if unsure.
Lubrication
- The pruning saw features an intelligent lubrication system. Ensure the oil reservoir is adequately filled with appropriate chain oil. Check oil levels before each use.
Storage
- Always remove the battery pack before storing the pruning saw.
- Store the tool in a dry, secure location, out of reach of children.
- Use the blade protection cover to protect the chain and guide bar during storage.
