Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the performance and longevity of your iSpring WSP100SL-ARJ-BP filter. It is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified plumber.

Pre-Installation Checklist:

Installation Steps (General Guidance):

1. Cut into the main water line at the chosen installation point.
2. Install the filter unit, ensuring the water flow direction matches the arrows on the filter head. The unit supports 1-inch MNPT and 3/4-inch FNPT connections.
3. Apply thread sealant to all threaded connections to prevent leaks.
4. Securely mount the filter to a sturdy surface using appropriate mounting hardware.
5. Slowly turn on the main water supply, checking for leaks.
6. Flush the system for several minutes to remove any air or carbon fines.

Operation

The iSpring WSP100SL-ARJ-BP features a versatile 4-way valve and an intelligent auto-flushing module for ease of use.

4-Way Valve Operation:

The valve handle on top of the filter head allows you to select different modes:

• FILTER Mode: Standard operation. Water flows through the filter mesh, removing sediment.
• BYPASS Mode: Water bypasses the filter, allowing water flow to your home while the filter can be serviced or maintained without shutting off the main water supply.
• BACKWASH Mode: Reverses water flow through the filter to dislodge and flush out accumulated sediment.
• OFF Mode: Shuts off water flow through the filter.

Auto Flushing Module:

The integrated touch-screen module allows for scheduled or manual flushing of the filter.

• Setting Schedule: Use the touch screen to set the frequency and duration of automatic flushing cycles. Refer to the module's specific instructions for detailed programming.

1. Turn the 4-way valve to the BYPASS or OFF position and relieve pressure.
2. Unscrew the clear housing using the provided housing wrench.
3. Remove the old Siliphos cartridge and dispose of it.
4. Insert a new iSpring Siliphos cartridge (ensure it is compatible with WSP100SL-ARJ-BP).
5. Lubricate the O-rings with food-grade silicone grease if necessary, and carefully screw the housing back on. Do not overtighten.
6. Slowly return the valve to FILTER mode and check for leaks.

Filter Screen Cleaning/Replacement:

While backwashing reduces the need for manual cleaning, periodic inspection and cleaning of the 100-micron filter screen may be necessary, especially in areas with very high sediment. Replacement filter screens are available in various micron sizes (FWSP50SL-ARJ, FWSP100SL-ARJ, FWSP200SL-ARJ, FWSP500SL-ARJ).
