Setup and Installation
- Turn Off Power: Before starting, ensure the power to the circuit at the main fuse box or circuit breaker is completely off.
- Prepare Mounting: Attach the mounting crossbar to the junction box in the ceiling using the provided mounting screws. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Adjust Hanging Height: If your pendant uses a chain or adjustable rod, determine the desired hanging length and adjust accordingly. For rod-hung fixtures, connect the rods to achieve the correct height.
- Wire Connections:
- Connect the fixture's bare copper or green ground wire to the green or bare copper ground wire from the junction box. Secure with a wire nut.
- Connect the fixture's white wire to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box. Secure with a wire nut.
- Connect the fixture's black wire to the black (hot) wire from the junction box. Secure with a wire nut.
- Ensure all wire nuts are tightly secured and no bare wire is exposed.
- Mount Canopy: Carefully push the wires into the junction box and raise the fixture canopy to the ceiling, aligning the mounting holes with the screws on the crossbar. Secure the canopy with the decorative nuts or screws.
- Install Shade: Attach the clear wood/glass shade to the fixture body. Ensure it is seated correctly and secured according to the specific design (e.g., by a threaded ring or screws).
- Install Bulb: Screw in one E26 Medium base bulb (not included) into the socket. Do not exceed the maximum wattage of 60 watts.
- Restore Power: Once installation is complete and all components are secure, restore power at the circuit breaker.
