5. Setup

5.1. Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge the speaker. The battery takes approximately 2 hours to fully charge and provides up to 12 hours of playback.

1. Connect the small end of the provided USB charging cable to the charging port on the speaker.
2. Connect the large end of the USB cable to a USB power adapter (DC5V/1.5A, not included) or a computer's USB port.

5.2. Powering On/Off

• To power on, press and hold the Power Button for approximately 3 seconds until you hear an audible prompt or see the LED indicator light up.
• To power off, press and hold the Power Button for approximately 3 seconds until you hear an audible prompt or the LED indicator turns off.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Bluetooth Pairing

1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and in Bluetooth mode. If not, short press the Mode Button (M) until you hear the Bluetooth mode prompt. The LED indicator will flash, indicating it's ready for pairing.
2. On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
3. Select "KA-8506" from the list of devices.
4. Once paired, the speaker will emit a confirmation sound, and the LED indicator will stop flashing and remain solid.
5. You can now play audio from your device through the speaker.

Note: The speaker will automatically attempt to reconnect to the last paired device when powered on.

6.2. USB Drive Playback

1. Insert a USB drive (formatted to FAT32, with supported audio files) into the USB Port.
2. The speaker will automatically switch to USB mode and begin playing audio. If not, short press the Mode Button (M) to select USB mode.
3. Use the Volume Up/Down and Previous/Next Track buttons to control playback.

6.3. Micro SD Card Playback

1. Insert a Micro SD card (formatted to FAT32, with supported audio files) into the Micro SD Card Slot.
2. The speaker will automatically switch to SD card mode and begin playing audio. If not, short press the Mode Button (M) to select SD card mode.
3. Use the Volume Up/Down and Previous/Next Track buttons to control playback.

6.4. Auxiliary Input (AUX)

1. Connect one end of the provided 3.5mm auxiliary cable to the AUX Input on the speaker.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to the headphone jack or auxiliary output of your audio device.
3. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode. If not, short press the Mode Button (M) to select AUX mode.
4. Control playback and volume from your connected audio device.

6.5. Hands-Free Calling

When connected via Bluetooth to your smartphone:

• Answer Call: Short press the Power Button.
• End Call: Short press the Power Button during a call.
• Reject Call: Press and hold the Power Button for 2 seconds when an incoming call rings.

• Clean the speaker with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Ensure the port cover (if present) is securely closed when using the speaker near water to maintain its IP66 rating.
