4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all packaging materials. Keep the original packaging and materials in case you need to transport the appliance in the future. Ensure all components listed in the 'What's in the Box' section are present.

4.2 Placement

  • Place the wine cooler on a flat, solid surface strong enough to support the unit when fully loaded.
  • Allow at least 2 inches (5 cm) of space at the back and sides of the unit for proper air circulation.
  • Avoid placing the appliance in direct sunlight or near heat sources (e.g., oven, radiator, stove). Direct sunlight may affect the acrylic coating and heat sources may increase electrical consumption.
  • Do not install in a location where the temperature will fall below 50℉ (10℃) or above 90℉ (32℃).
  • This appliance is designed for freestanding installation only.

4.3 Leveling the Appliance

It is important for the appliance to be level to function properly. You can adjust the leveling feet at the bottom of the unit. Turn the leveling feet clockwise to raise the unit or counter-clockwise to lower it.

4.4 Electrical Connection

Ensure the power supply matches the voltage requirements of the appliance (110 Volts). Plug the appliance into a dedicated, grounded wall outlet. Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs.

4.5 Initial Startup

After transportation, the wine cooler should be left upright for at least 3 hours (24 hours recommended) before plugging it into a power source. This allows the refrigerant to settle. Once plugged in, allow the unit to run for at least 24 hours empty to reach stable temperatures before loading wines.

4.6 Installing Shelves

The wine cooler comes with removable wooden shelves. Slide them into the desired grooves. Ensure shelves are securely in place before loading bottles.

6. Maintenance and Care

6.1 Cleaning Your Appliance

Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.

  • Interior: Wash the interior with a mild detergent and warm water solution. Use a soft cloth to wipe surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
  • Exterior: Clean the exterior with a soft cloth dampened with water and a mild detergent. For stainless steel surfaces, use a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner.
  • Door Gasket: Regularly clean the door gasket to ensure a proper seal.

6.2 Defrosting

This appliance features an automatic defrost system. Frost will melt and drain into a drip tray at the back of the unit, where it evaporates. No manual defrosting is required under normal operating conditions.

6.3 Activated Carbon Filter

The activated carbon filter helps maintain a fresh environment inside the wine cooler. It is recommended to replace the filter every 6-12 months, depending on usage and environment, to ensure optimal odor elimination.
