1. Important Safety Instructions

3. Setup

Unpacking and Placement:

1. Carefully remove the refrigerator from its packaging.
2. Place the unit on a stable, level surface. Ensure there is at least 50mm (2 inches) of clear space around all sides for proper ventilation.
3. Before first use, it is recommended to clean the interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent.

Power Connection:

The Megiu HC-22P5 can be powered by two methods:

• DC Power (12V/24V): Use the provided 8.2ft DC cable to connect the refrigerator to your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket.
• AC Power (110V-240V): Use the provided AC adapter and 6.5ft AC cable to connect the refrigerator to a standard household power outlet.

Initial Use:

After connecting to power, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to turn on the refrigerator. Allow the unit to cool down for at least 30 minutes before placing items inside.

4. Operating Instructions

Control Panel:

The refrigerator features a touch control panel with an LED display for easy operation.

• Power ON/OFF: Press and hold the power button (⏻) for 5 seconds to turn the refrigerator on or off.
• Temperature Adjustment: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to increase or decrease the desired temperature. The temperature range is -18°C (-0.4°F) to +15°C (59°F).
• Mode Selection: The unit can function as either a refrigerator or a freezer depending on the set temperature.

Recommended Temperature Settings:

Battery Protection:

The refrigerator is equipped with a car battery protection system. When connected to a car's DC power, it automatically monitors the battery voltage. If the car battery voltage drops below a certain level, the compressor will automatically stop to prevent complete discharge of the car battery, ensuring you can still start your vehicle.

5. Maintenance

Cleaning:

• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
• Clean the interior and exterior surfaces with a damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive detergent.
• The HIPS inner tank has a round design for easy cleaning. The removable basket can also be easily cleaned.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the surfaces.
• Ensure all parts are dry before reconnecting to power.

Ventilation:

Regularly check that the ventilation openings on the appliance are clear of dust and debris to ensure efficient operation. Maintain the recommended 50mm clearance around the unit.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Megiu HC-22P5, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• Appliance does not turn on:
  • Check if the power cable is securely connected to both the appliance and the power source.
  • Ensure the power source (vehicle socket or wall outlet) is functioning correctly.
  • For DC connection, check your car's battery voltage. The unit may stop if the voltage is too low.
  • Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to ensure it is properly activated.
• Cooling performance is poor:
  • Check if the temperature setting is appropriate for the desired cooling level.
  • Ensure the lid is properly closed and sealed. The magnetic seal helps maintain internal temperature.
  • Verify that there is sufficient ventilation around the unit (at least 50mm clearance).
  • Avoid frequently opening the lid, as this can affect internal temperature.
  • If the ambient temperature is very high, it may take longer to reach the desired temperature.
• Screen displays an error code:
  • If an error code appears on the display, please refer to the detailed user manual provided with your product for specific error code explanations and solutions.
• Unusual noise:
  • The compressor operates with a noise level under 40 decibels. If you hear unusually loud or strange noises, ensure the unit is on a stable, level surface and not vibrating against other objects.
