1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Delclynee Hat Heat Press. This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and effective operation, setup, and maintenance of your new heat press machine. Designed for transferring designs onto various cap styles and small items, this machine offers precision and ease of use for your heat transfer vinyl (HTV) and sublimation projects.

3. Setup

1. Unpacking and Placement:

   Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Place the heat press on a sturdy, flat, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the machine.

2. Attaching the Lower Platen:

   Select the appropriate lower cap platen (6.7"x3.8" or 6.7"x2.5") for your project. Align the platen with the mounting points on the base of the machine and secure it firmly. The molded silicone lower platen helps reduce marked lines and scorching on your materials.

3. Adjusting the Cap Stretcher:

   The cap stretcher can be fixed up or down to facilitate easy placement of the hat with both hands, securing the cap and creating a smooth surface for pressing.

4. Power Connection:

   Plug the power cord into the machine and then into a standard 110V electrical outlet. Ensure the power switch (usually located on the side or back) is in the OFF position before plugging in.

4. Operating Instructions

1. Power On and Initial Settings:

   Flip the power switch to the ON position. The upgraded time/temperature gauge will illuminate. Use the 'TEMP' and 'TIME' buttons to set your desired temperature and pressing time according to your material and transfer type. The machine supports temperatures up to 455°F.

2. Preheating:

   Allow the machine to preheat until it reaches the set temperature. Once the set temperature is reached, the machine will sound 5 beeps to alert you that it is ready for use.

3. Placing the Item:

   Carefully place your cap or other small item onto the lower platen. Position your transfer design onto the item. The compact design provides enough space to rotate the hat and print around it while the bill still hangs down, allowing for versatile application.

4. Pressing:

   Lower the upper heat plate firmly onto the item and engage the press mechanism. The timer will automatically begin counting down. Maintain consistent pressure throughout the pressing cycle.

5. Completion:

   Once the timer reaches zero, the machine will beep. Carefully lift the upper heat plate. Remove your pressed item, following the specific peeling instructions for your transfer material (hot peel, warm peel, or cold peel).

6. Power Off:

   When finished, turn off the power switch and unplug the machine from the outlet. Allow the machine to cool down completely before storing.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning the Heat Plate: Allow the heat plate to cool completely. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the non-stick surface. For stubborn residue, a specialized heat press cleaner can be used, following the cleaner's instructions. Avoid abrasive cleaners or tools that could scratch the surface.
• Cleaning the Lower Platen: The silicone lower platen can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Ensure it is dry before next use.
• General Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior of the machine with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust and debris.
• Storage: Store the heat press in a dry, dust-free environment when not in use.
