4. Replacing and Winding the Bottom Bobbin

To replace or wind the bottom bobbin:

1. Slide the bobbin cover off and remove the empty bobbin.
2. Put the new bobbin in the holder with the thread going clockwise.
3. Hold the needle thread with your left hand and turn the handwheel counter-clockwise only one round. The needle thread will pick up the bobbin thread.
4. Pull the bobbin thread up through the hole under the needle.
5. Separate the two threads (upper and lower) and pull them to the back of the machine under the presser foot, leaving about 15 cm hanging out.
6. Restore the bobbin cover.

To wind a new bobbin:

1. First, take the top and bottom thread off the machine.
2. Unwind some thread from a bigger spool and pull it around the bobbin winder tension disk.
