3. Setup Instructions

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging. Ensure all packing materials and protective films are removed from the unit. Note: Some units may have a blue/green protective film that needs to be peeled off.
2. Placement: Place the ice maker on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
3. Initial Standby: After transport, allow the ice maker to stand upright for at least 24 hours before plugging it in. This allows the refrigerant to settle.
4. First Cleaning Cycle: Before first use, it is recommended to run a self-cleaning cycle. Fill the water reservoir with clean water up to the MAX line. Press and hold the "Ice/Clean" button for approximately 5 seconds to activate the self-cleaning function. Once complete, drain the water.

4. Operating Instructions

1. Add Water: Open the lid and fill the water reservoir with potable water up to the "MAX" fill line. Ensure the ice basket is properly placed inside.
2. Start Ice Making: Press the "Ice/Clean" button once. The indicator light will turn on, and the machine will begin the ice-making process.
3. Ice Collection: The first batch of ice may take slightly longer. Subsequent batches will be produced more quickly (typically 7-10 minutes).

5. Retrieving Ice: Use the provided ice scoop to remove ice from the basket. It is recommended to stir the ice in the basket every 40 minutes to prevent clumping and allow for more ice production.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Automatic Self-Cleaning

The ice maker features an automatic self-cleaning system:

1. Ensure the water reservoir is filled with clean water.
2. Press and hold the "Ice/Clean" button for approximately 5 seconds. The cleaning program will activate.
3. Once the cleaning cycle is complete, drain the water from the unit.

Manual Cleaning

For thorough cleaning, especially if mold or mineral buildup occurs:

1. Unplug the unit and remove the ice basket.
