1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the TianQinLang 3000W Electric Griddle. This versatile countertop grill is designed for both home and commercial use, offering a large cooking area with both flat and fluted surfaces. With adjustable temperature control, it is ideal for preparing a wide variety of foods. Please read this manual thoroughly before operation to ensure safe and efficient use.

2. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons.

  • Read all instructions before operating the griddle.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • The product is shipped without a plug. Ensure installation is performed by a qualified electrician, connecting the wire to a suitable control switch (gate) in accordance with local electrical codes.
  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended household use.
  • Ensure the griddle is placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
  • Keep hands and face away from hot steam and oil splatter during operation.

4. Setup and Installation

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the griddle from its packaging. Inspect for any damage during transit. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if needed.
  2. Placement: Place the griddle on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate clearance around the unit for ventilation and safe operation.
  3. Electrical Connection: IMPORTANT: This product is shipped without a plug. Electrical installation must be performed by a qualified electrician. The electrician should connect the griddle's wires to an appropriate control switch (gate) or circuit breaker, ensuring compliance with all local electrical codes and safety regulations. The griddle operates on 110 Volts and requires 3000 Watts of power.
  4. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe down the cooking surface and exterior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  5. Seasoning (Optional but Recommended): For optimal non-stick performance and longevity, lightly coat the cooking surface with a high-smoke-point cooking oil (e.g., vegetable oil, grapeseed oil). Heat the griddle to a medium temperature (around 150-200℃) for 10-15 minutes, then turn off and let cool. Wipe off any excess oil. Repeat this process 2-3 times.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Ensure the griddle is properly connected to the power supply. Turn the temperature selection knob to the desired temperature. The "Power Light" (green) will illuminate, indicating the unit is receiving power.
  2. Preheating: The "Hot Light" (orange) will illuminate when the heating elements are active. Allow the griddle to preheat for 10-15 minutes, or until the "Hot Light" cycles off, indicating the set temperature has been reached. The light will cycle on and off during operation to maintain the temperature.
  3. Temperature Selection: Adjust the temperature knob between 50℃ and 300℃ (122℉-572℉) according to the food being cooked. Lower temperatures are suitable for delicate items like pancakes, while higher temperatures are for searing meats.
  4. Cooking:
    • Flat Surface: Ideal for breakfast foods such as pancakes, eggs, bacon, and grilled sandwiches.
    • Fluted Surface: Perfect for grilling meats like steaks, chicken, and vegetables, providing attractive grill marks.
    Lightly oil the cooking surface before placing food to prevent sticking.
  5. Oil Collection: During cooking, excess oil and food residue will drain into the drawer-type oil collection box located at the front of the unit. Empty this box regularly to prevent overflow.
  6. Power Off: After cooking, turn the temperature selection knob to the "OFF" position. Unplug the unit from the power supply if it is connected via a plug, or turn off the dedicated control switch. Allow the griddle to cool completely before cleaning.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your electric griddle.

  1. Cool Down: Always ensure the griddle is completely cool before attempting any cleaning.
  2. Empty Oil Collection Box: Slide out the drawer-type oil collection box and dispose of the collected oil and food scraps. Wash the box with warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly before reinserting.
  3. Clean Cooking Surface:
    • For light residue, wipe the surface with a damp cloth.
    • For stubborn food particles, use a plastic scraper or a non-abrasive cleaning pad. Avoid metal scouring pads or abrasive cleaners that can scratch the stainless steel surface.
    • A mixture of warm water and mild dish soap can be used. Rinse thoroughly by wiping with a clean, damp cloth.
    • Dry the cooking surface completely to prevent water spots and maintain its finish.
  4. Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For a streak-free shine, use a stainless steel cleaner.
  5. Splash Guards: Clean the raised splash guards to remove any accumulated grease or food splatter.
  6. Storage: Store the griddle in a clean, dry place when not in use.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your griddle, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
