Setup Guide

1. What's in the Box

Before you begin, ensure all components are present:

3. Antenna Installation

Carefully screw the four cellular antennas and four Wi-Fi antennas into their respective connectors on the router. Ensure they are finger-tight to establish a secure connection. The router is designed with detachable antennas for optimal signal reception and flexibility.

4. SIM Card Installation

The MOFI5500-5GXeLTE-RM520 supports dual SIM cards for enhanced reliability and failover capabilities. Locate the SIM card slot(s) on the side of the router (refer to Figure 3). Insert your activated Nano-SIM card(s) into the slot(s) until it clicks into place. Use the provided SIM card adaptor if your SIM card is a different size.

5. Power Connection

Connect the provided 3.5AMP power supply to the DC IN port on the rear of the router, then plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The router will power on automatically.

6. Initial Configuration

Once powered on, the router will begin its boot sequence. Allow a few minutes for the device to initialize. You can connect to the router via Wi-Fi using the default SSID and password found on the label on the bottom of the device, or via an Ethernet cable connected to one of the LAN ports.

Operating Instructions

1. Accessing the Web Interface

To manage your router settings, open a web browser and navigate to the router's default IP address (e.g., http://192.168.10.1). Enter the default username and password, typically found on the router's label or in the quick start guide. It is recommended to change the default login credentials for security purposes.

2. Network Connectivity

The MOFI5500-5GXeLTE-RM520 provides high-speed internet access via 5G NR (SA/NSA) and 4G LTE cellular networks. It supports AX3000 Wi-Fi speeds and features four Gigabit LAN ports and one Gigabit WAN port for wired connections. The router automatically prioritizes the best available cellular signal.

  • Band Lock: Allows users to lock the router to specific cellular bands for optimized performance in certain areas.
  • VPN Support: Supports various VPN protocols for secure remote access and data encryption.
