2. Setup

2.1 Setting the Time and Date

  1. Unscrew the Crown: The crown is located on the right side of the watch case. Rotate the crown counter-clockwise until it is free from the case.
  2. Pull the Crown to Position 2 (Date Setting): Gently pull the crown out to the first click position. Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this may interfere with the automatic date change mechanism.
  3. Pull the Crown to Position 3 (Time Setting): Pull the crown out further to the second click position. The second hand will stop. Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands. Ensure the AM/PM is correctly set for the date to change at midnight.
  4. Push and Screw Down the Crown: Once the time and date are set, push the crown back into its original position. While pushing, rotate the crown clockwise to screw it back into the case. Ensure it is securely tightened to maintain water resistance.

2.2 Adjusting the Bracelet/Strap

The watch comes with an adjustable stainless steel bracelet and an additional rubber strap. The included tool can be used to adjust the metal bracelet by removing or adding links. For the rubber strap, it can be easily interchanged using the quick-release pins.

If you are unsure about adjusting the metal bracelet, it is recommended to seek assistance from a professional watch technician to prevent damage.

3.1 Chronograph Function

The chronograph function allows for precise timing of events. The watch features three sub-dials:

  • 60-second sub-dial: Located at the 9 o'clock position.
  • 60-minute sub-dial: Located at the 6 o'clock position.
  • 24-hour sub-dial: Located at the 3 o'clock position, indicating the time in a 24-hour format.

The two pushers on the side of the case control the chronograph:

  1. Start/Stop: Press the upper pusher to start the chronograph. Press it again to stop.
  2. Reset: With the chronograph stopped, press the lower pusher to reset all chronograph hands to zero.

3.2 Water Resistance

This watch is water-resistant to 100 meters (330 feet). This rating means it is suitable for swimming and snorkeling, but not for scuba diving. To maintain water resistance:

  • Ensure the crown is always securely screwed down before exposing the watch to water.
  • Do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is submerged in water or wet.
  • Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperature changes, such as moving from a hot sauna to cold water, as this can affect the seals.
  • After exposure to saltwater, rinse the watch with fresh water and dry it thoroughly.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

To clean your watch, wipe the case and bracelet/strap with a soft, damp cloth. For metal bracelets, a soft brush can be used to remove dirt from between the links. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the watch's finish or seals.

4.2 Battery Replacement

The watch is powered by a quartz movement and requires a battery. When the battery is low, the second hand may start to skip seconds or stop entirely. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and to maintain water resistance.

4.3 Storage

When not wearing your watch, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The original presentation case is suitable for storage.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Watch Not Running:
        a. Check if the crown is fully pushed in and screwed down. If not, set the time and secure the crown.
        b. The battery may be depleted. Contact a watch technician for battery replacement.
  • Date Not Changing:
        a. Ensure the time is set correctly, especially the AM/PM cycle. The date changes around midnight.
        b. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM. If you did, manually advance the time past 3 AM and then set the date.
  • Chronograph Hands Not Resetting to Zero:
        a. Ensure the chronograph is stopped before pressing the reset pusher.
        b. If the hands are misaligned, some quartz chronographs allow for calibration. Refer to the manufacturer's specific instructions or consult a technician.
  • Water Inside the Watch:
        a. If condensation or water droplets appear inside the crystal, immediately take the watch to a qualified watch technician for inspection and repair to prevent further damage.
