1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Lifelong Single Cup Coffee Maker LLCMK910. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new coffee machine. Please read these instructions carefully before first use and retain them for future reference.

2. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons. These include:

4. Setup

Before using your coffee maker for the first time, follow these steps:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all components are present.
  2. Clean: Wash the removable filter basket and the ceramic cup with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
  3. First Brew Cycle (Cleaning): To clean the internal components, fill the water reservoir with clean water up to the maximum fill line. Do not add coffee grounds. Place the ceramic cup on the drip tray. Plug in the coffee maker and press the power button to start a brewing cycle. Discard the hot water after the cycle is complete. Repeat this process once more.

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to brew a single cup of coffee:

  1. Prepare Water: Open the lid of the coffee maker and pour fresh, cold water into the water reservoir. Do not exceed the maximum fill line (125ml).
  2. Add Coffee: Place the removable filter basket into its designated slot. Add your desired amount of ground coffee or instant coffee powder into the filter. For best results, follow coffee packaging recommendations.
  3. Position Cup: Place the provided ceramic cup (or another heat-resistant cup) on the drip tray directly beneath the coffee outlet.
  4. Start Brewing: Close the lid securely. Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. Press the power button to begin the brewing cycle. The indicator light will illuminate.
  5. Automatic Shut-off: The coffee maker will automatically shut off once the brewing cycle is complete (approximately 4-5 minutes). The indicator light will turn off.
  6. Serve: Carefully remove the hot cup of coffee. Enjoy your freshly brewed beverage.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your coffee maker.

Daily Cleaning:

  1. Always unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Remove the removable filter basket and discard used coffee grounds. Rinse the filter basket and ceramic cup with warm, soapy water.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  4. Do not immerse the coffee maker unit in water or any other liquid.

Descaling (Monthly or as needed):

Mineral deposits from water can build up over time, affecting performance. Descale your coffee maker regularly:

  1. Fill the water reservoir with a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:2 ratio).
  2. Place the ceramic cup on the drip tray.
  3. Run a brewing cycle without coffee grounds.
  4. After the cycle, let the coffee maker sit for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Run two full cycles with fresh, clean water to rinse out any vinegar residue.
