2. Product Overview: LED vs. Incandescent

Understanding the differences between LED and traditional incandescent bulbs is crucial for appreciating the benefits of your new replacement bulbs.

Incandescent Bulbs:

Incandescent bulbs generate light by heating a filament to high temperatures (above 2000 degrees Celsius) until it glows. This process, while effective, has several disadvantages:

  • High Heat Generation: The high operating temperature can pose a safety risk and may lead to product burnout.
  • Inefficient Energy Conversion: A significant portion of electrical energy is converted into heat rather than light, leading to higher power consumption.
  • Color Cast: The light emitted can have an unbalanced color composition, resulting in a color cast.

LED Bulbs:

LED (Light Emitting Diode) bulbs produce light through a process where electrons and holes recombine in a quantum well, emitting energy as photons. This technology offers significant advantages:

  • Lower Power Consumption: LEDs consume less power while providing higher brightness, leading to energy savings.
  • Minimal Heat Radiation: Most energy is converted directly into light, resulting in very little heat generation and a cooler touch.
  • Green Light Source: LEDs are a direct current driven, flicker-free light source with no infrared or UV components, ensuring no radiation pollution. They also offer high color rendering and strong luminous directionality.

3. Installation

Follow these steps to safely replace the bulbs in your lighted makeup mirror:

  1. Step 1: Prepare the Mirror. Turn off the power to the mirror and unplug it from the electrical outlet. Ensure the old bulbs are cool to the touch by waiting at least 3 minutes before proceeding.
  2. Step 2: Remove Mirror Ring Screws. Locate and remove the two 2mm screws on the side of the mirror's ring using a screwdriver.
  3. Step 3: Replace Old Bulbs. Gently unscrew the old bulbs in a counter-clockwise direction. Carefully insert the new LED bulbs and screw them in clockwise until secure.
  4. Step 4: Reassemble Mirror. Replace the mirror ring cover and push it back into place. Screw in the two 2mm screws on each side of the mirror using a screwdriver to secure the cover.
  5. Step 5: Test. Plug in the mirror and turn on the power to enjoy your newly illuminated mirror.

5. Maintenance

Glooglitter LED bulbs are designed for long-lasting performance with minimal maintenance. The estimated lifespan of these LED bulbs is approximately 10,000 hours, significantly reducing the frequency of bulb replacement compared to traditional incandescent bulbs.

  • Cleaning: If necessary, gently wipe the bulbs with a soft, dry cloth when the mirror is unplugged and the bulbs are cool. Do not use liquid cleaners directly on the bulbs.
  • Storage: If storing spare bulbs, keep them in their original packaging in a cool, dry place to protect them from damage.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your replacement LED bulbs, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
