4. Setup and Installation
Your Haier microwave oven is designed for countertop installation.
Unpacking:
- Carefully remove the microwave oven and all packing materials from the carton.
- Check the oven for any damage, such as dents or a misaligned door. Do not operate the oven if it is damaged.
- Ensure all included components are present: 1 Microwave Oven, 1 Glass Tray, 1 Turntable Ring Assembly, 1 Instruction Manual.
Placement:
- Place the oven on a flat, stable surface that can support its weight and the heaviest food item likely to be cooked in it.
- Maintain a minimum clearance of 10 cm (4 inches) around the sides, back, and top of the oven for adequate ventilation.

5. Operating Instructions
Your microwave oven features simple knob controls for power level and cooking time.

- Power Level Knob: Selects one of the 5 available power levels.
- Timer/Defrost Knob: Sets the cooking time or defrost weight.
Basic Operation:
- Place the food in a microwave-safe container on the glass turntable.
- Close the oven door securely.
- Turn the Power Level Knob to select the desired power setting (e.g., High for quick heating, Medium for general cooking). There are 5 power levels available.
- Turn the Timer/Defrost Knob to set the desired cooking time. The oven will start automatically once the timer is set.
- When the cooking time is complete, a completion beeper will sound.
Defrost Function:
The defrost function allows you to thaw frozen food based on weight.
- Place the frozen food on the glass turntable.
- Turn the Power Level Knob to the defrost setting (usually indicated by a snowflake symbol or specific defrost power level).
- Turn the Timer/Defrost Knob to select the appropriate weight for the food item. The oven will calculate the defrost time automatically.
- During defrosting, it may be necessary to turn the food over to ensure even thawing.
6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and proper maintenance will ensure the longevity and efficient operation of your microwave oven.
General Cleaning:
- Always unplug the oven before cleaning.
- Clean the oven cavity, door, and door seals regularly with a mild detergent and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- The glass turntable and turntable ring assembly can be removed and washed in warm soapy water or a dishwasher.

Steam Clean Feature:
