The IXROAD vacuum sealer features a clear LED digital display that shows the working time and charging status. It includes a start/stop button for automatic operation (default 30 seconds) and +/- 10s buttons to adjust the vacuuming duration as needed.

The device has a unique split design, allowing the main unit to be used independently for wide-mouth Mason jars (approx. 3.35 inches / 85 mm diameter) or in combination with the included converter for regular-mouth Mason jars (approx. 2.68 inches / 68 mm diameter).

Setup

1. Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the vacuum sealer. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the charging port on the device and plug the other end into a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port). The digital display will show the charging status.

2. Assembling the Converter (if needed)

If you are sealing regular-mouth Mason jars, you will need to attach the converter to the main unit. Align the converter with the main unit and rotate it to lock it into place. The main unit can be used alone for wide-mouth jars.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to vacuum seal your Mason jars:

  1. Step 1: Prepare the Jar and Lid. Ensure your Mason jar and the corresponding lid (wide-mouth or regular-mouth) are clean and dry. Place the flat lid onto the mouth of the Mason jar.

  2. Step 2: Position the Vacuum Sealer. Place the vacuum sealer (with or without converter, depending on jar size) directly onto the lid of the Mason jar. Ensure it is centered and kept close to the jar body for an effective seal.

  3. Step 3: Start Vacuuming. Press the power button on the top of the vacuum sealer. The device will automatically start removing air from the Mason jar. The default vacuuming time is 30 seconds. You can adjust the vacuuming time by pressing the -10s or +10s buttons to decrease or increase the duration in 10-second increments.

  4. Step 4: Remove the Sealer. Once the vacuuming process is complete (the device will automatically stop), carefully remove the vacuum sealer from the jar. The lid should now be securely sealed.

Food Preservation Guidelines

Vacuum sealing significantly extends the freshness of various foods. Below is a general guide for vacuum preservation duration compared to general storage:

  • Wipe the exterior of the vacuum sealer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
  • Ensure the sealing ring inside the vacuum sealer is clean and free of food debris to maintain an effective seal.
  • Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Clean Mason jar lids thoroughly before each use to ensure proper sealing.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions
