5. Setup Instructions

5.1 Assembly

  1. Place the feeder base unit on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Align the food tank with the base unit. There is a mark on the food tank and a corresponding mark on the base. Rotate the food tank to the left until it locks securely.
  3. Insert the desiccant packet into the designated slot on the underside of the lid.
  4. Place the silicone sealing ring around the top edge of the food tank.
  5. Secure the lid onto the food tank using the double-sided buckles.
  6. Place the food bowl in front of the feeder's food outlet.

5.2 Power Supply

The feeder supports a dual power supply system to ensure continuous operation.

  • Primary Power: Connect the DC 5V adapter to the feeder and plug it into a wall outlet.
  • Backup Power: For uninterrupted feeding during power outages, install 3 alkaline D-size batteries (not included) into the battery compartment at the bottom of the unit. It is recommended to use both power sources.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Filling the Food Tank

Open the lid and pour dry pet food into the tank. Ensure the food is within the recommended kibble size of 2-10mm to prevent jamming. Close the lid securely using the buckles.

6.2 Setting a Feeding Schedule

The feeder allows you to schedule up to 6 meals per day, with 1 to 15 portions per meal (approximately 8g per portion). Refer to the 'Quick Guide' card included with your product for detailed programming instructions. The feeder's display will show the current time and scheduled meals.

6.3 Manual Feeding

To dispense a single portion of food manually, press the manual feeding button on the control panel. This is useful for providing snacks or additional food outside of the scheduled meals.

6.4 Double Lock Design

The feeder features a double-sided buckle design on the lid to prevent pets from accessing the food tank. Additionally, the feeder automatically locks after 30 seconds of inactivity to prevent accidental changes to settings or overfeeding.

7. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning is essential for your pet's health and the feeder's longevity. The feeder is designed for easy disassembly and cleaning.

  1. Unplug the feeder from the power source and remove any backup batteries.
  2. Remove the food tank, lid, and food bowl.
  3. Wash the food tank, lid, and food bowl with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. The grain bucket rotor can also be detached and cleaned.
  5. Wipe the base unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base unit in water.
  6. Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and refilling with food.
  7. It is recommended to clean the food tank every 15-35 days.
