5. Installation Instructions

Step 1: Construct Rough Opening

Prepare the wall framing for the pocket door. Ensure the rough opening meets the minimum height of 84 1/2" (2.14m) and a width of 2X door width plus 1" (25mm). Verify the opening is level and plumb.

Step 2: Measure for Frame Header End Brackets

Set a nail at the door height plus 3/4" (19mm) or 1-1/2" (38mm) from the sub-floor, depending on your specific door height and desired gap. This marks the position for the header.

Replace the adjustable end bracket on the new cut end of the header. Repeat for the header trim board, cutting it at the door width plus 7/8" from the fixed bracket end.
