2. Important Safety Information

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Installing the Car Seat Base (LATCH System)
- Place the car seat base on the vehicle seat in the rear-facing position.
- Extend the MaxiLock™ LATCH connectors from the base.
- Attach the LATCH connectors to your vehicle's lower anchor bars. Ensure you hear a click, indicating a secure connection.
- Press down firmly on the base while pulling the LATCH strap to tighten the connection. The self-tightening mechanism will assist. The base should not move more than one inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.
- Adjust the load leg to extend to the vehicle floor, ensuring it is firmly planted and stable. The load leg helps limit movement during a collision.
- Verify the recline indicator on the base shows the correct recline angle for your infant's weight.

4.2 Taxi-Mode Installation (Without Base)
For installation without the base, use the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt. Clearly visible belt guides on the car seat carrier facilitate smooth positioning. Route the vehicle belt through the designated belt path and buckle it. Ensure the belt is tight and the car seat is secure, not moving more than one inch.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Securing Your Child
- Place your infant in the car seat. Ensure their head is comfortably supported by the infant head insert.
- Bring the harness straps over your child's shoulders and buckle the harness tongues into the crotch buckle.
- Slide the chest clip up to armpit level.
- Pull the harness adjustment strap to tighten the harness until it is snug against your child's body. You should not be able to pinch any excess webbing at the shoulder.
