4. Setup and Assembly Instructions
Assembly is required for this dining table. An assembly guide and all necessary tools are included. A screwdriver may also be helpful (not included).
- Prepare the Workspace: Clear a large, flat, and soft area for assembly. This will protect the table components and your flooring.
- Join Tabletop Halves: The tabletop comes in two pieces. Carefully align the two halves. Insert the provided wooden pegs into the pre-drilled holes along the joining edge. Apply wood glue (not included, but recommended for a stronger bond) to the pegs and edges before joining. Press the two halves firmly together. It is highly recommended to use clamps (not included) to hold the halves together tightly and ensure a flat surface while the glue dries. Allow adequate drying time as per glue manufacturer's instructions.
- Attach Table Legs: Once the tabletop is securely joined and dry, carefully turn the tabletop upside down on your prepared surface. Align each of the four table legs with the corner mounting plates on the underside of the tabletop.
- Secure Legs: Use the provided screws and Allen wrench to firmly attach each leg to the tabletop. Ensure all screws are tightened evenly to prevent wobbling. Do not overtighten.
- Install Floor-Friendly Pads: Attach the adjustable foot pads to the bottom of each table leg. These pads help protect your floor and allow for minor leveling adjustments.
- Final Check: Carefully turn the table upright. Gently shake the table to ensure stability. If any wobbling occurs, re-check all connections and adjust the foot pads as needed.

6. Maintenance and Care
Proper care will ensure the longevity and appearance of your dining table.
- Cleaning: Wipe the table surface with a damp cloth for general cleaning. Follow with a dry cloth to remove any moisture.
- Spills: Immediately wipe up any spills to prevent staining or water damage, especially on the oak finish.
- Heat Protection: Although the tabletop is designed to be heat resistant, always use coasters or placemats under hot dishes to prevent potential damage.
- Scratch Prevention: Use placemats or protective pads under objects that may scratch the surface. Avoid dragging rough objects across the tabletop.
- Chemicals: Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, abrasive materials, or polishes that are not specifically designed for wood furniture, as these can damage the finish.
- Sunlight: Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can cause fading or discoloration over time.

7. Troubleshooting
- Table Wobbles:
- Ensure all leg attachment screws are tightened securely.
- Adjust the floor-friendly pads on the bottom of each leg to level the table on uneven surfaces.
- Tabletop Seam Visible/Uneven:
- During assembly, it is crucial to apply sufficient pressure and use clamps when joining the two tabletop halves to ensure a flush and secure seam. If the seam is uneven after assembly, it may be difficult to correct without disassembling and re-joining with proper clamping.
- Scratches on Surface:
- Minor scratches can sometimes be minimized with wood repair markers or furniture polish. For deeper scratches, professional repair may be necessary. Always use protective measures like placemats to prevent future scratches.
