1. Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective use of your QIRANUI 10-16 Gun Safe (Model DD145-04). Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and operation to ensure proper functionality and security. This safe is designed for secure storage of firearms and other valuables, featuring multiple access methods and an alarm system.

2. Important Safety Information

3. Package Contents

Upon receiving your QIRANUI Gun Safe, please verify that all components are included:

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully unbox the safe and inspect all components for any damage. Ensure all listed package contents are present.

4.2 Assembly

The safe requires some assembly. Follow the steps below and refer to the installation videos for visual guidance.

1. Prepare the Panels: Lay out all panels (sides, front door, backboard, top, bottom) on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
2. Attach Side Panels to Front Door: Align the side panels (Panel 1 and Panel 2) with the front door (Panel 4). Secure them using the provided screws (C). Do not overtighten the screws initially.
3. Install Bottom Panel: Attach the bottom panel (Panel 6) to the assembled sides.
4. Install Backboard: Align and secure the backboard (Panel 3) to the assembled structure using the remaining screws (C). Ensure all screws are tightened securely once the entire frame is aligned.
5. Install Top Panel: Place the top panel onto the assembled frame and secure it.
6. Insert Shelves and Holders: Install the adjustable shelves and magnetic holders inside the safe according to your storage needs.

4.3 Mounting the Safe

For enhanced security and stability, it is recommended to anchor the safe to a wall or floor. The safe includes wall anchors (Expansion Screws) for this purpose. There are pre-drilled holes on the back of the safe for wall mounting.

• Position the safe in your desired location.
• Mark the drilling points on the wall or floor through the pre-drilled holes in the safe.
• Drill pilot holes at the marked locations.
• Align the safe and secure it using the provided expansion screws. Ensure a tight and stable fit.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering the Keypad

The electronic keypad requires batteries (not included). Install the batteries in the compartment located on the back of the safe door.

5.2 Opening the Safe

Your QIRANUI safe offers three methods for access:

1. Code + Handle:
   • Wake up the keypad by touching it.
   • Enter your 3-8 digit user code or master code.
   • Press the '#' button.
   • Turn the handle to open the safe.
2. Emergency Key + Handle:
   • Insert the emergency key into the keyhole.
   • Turn the key and simultaneously turn the handle to open the safe.
   • This method is primarily for initial setup or in case of forgotten codes/battery depletion.
3. Emergency Battery Box + Code + Handle:
   • If the internal batteries are depleted, connect the emergency battery box (with fresh batteries) to the external power port on the keypad.
   • Enter your code and press '#'.
   • Turn the handle to open the safe.

5.3 Setting/Changing User Password

To set or change the user password:

1. Open the safe door.
2. Locate the red "SET" button on the inside of the safe door. Press it once. You will hear a "beep".
3. On the keypad, enter a new 3-8 digit password.
4. Press the '#' button.
5. If successful, you will hear a "beep" and the green light will flash twice. The user code is now set.

5.4 Setting/Changing Master Password

To set or change the master password:

1. Wake up the keypad by touching it.
2. Input "00" (double zero).
3. Press the red "SET" button on the inside of the safe door. You will hear a "beep".
4. On the keypad, enter a new 3-8 digit master password.
5. Press the '#' button.
6. If successful, you will hear a "beep" and the green light will flash twice. The master code is now set.

5.5 Dual Alarm System & Silent Mode

The safe is equipped with a dual alarm system:

• Incorrect Code Alarm: If an incorrect code is entered three times consecutively, the alarm system will activate and sound for 30 seconds.
• Vibration/Shaking Alarm: If the safe experiences severe shaking or tampering, the alarm system will activate.
• Silent Mode: You can choose to turn the mute mode on or off. Even in silent mode, the dual alarm system remains active, providing security without audible alerts.

6. Key Features

• Spacious Interior: Designed to accommodate 10-16 long guns, rifles, and pistols.

7. Maintenance

• Battery Replacement: Replace the keypad batteries annually or when the low battery indicator appears. Use the emergency battery box if internal batteries are depleted.
• Cleaning: Clean the exterior and interior of the safe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
• Lubrication: Periodically check the door hinges and locking bolts for smooth operation. Apply a small amount of lubricant if necessary.
• Key Storage: Store emergency keys and inner lockbox keys in a secure location away from the safe and out of reach of unauthorized individuals.

8. Troubleshooting

• Keypad Not Responding:
  • Check if batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient power. Replace if necessary.
  • Use the emergency battery box to power the keypad externally.
• Forgotten Code:
  • Use the emergency key to open the safe.
  • Once open, follow the instructions in Section 5.3 or 5.4 to reset your user or master password.
• Alarm Sounds Unexpectedly:
  • Check for tampering or incorrect code entries.
  • Ensure the safe is stable and not subject to accidental bumps or vibrations.
• Door Not Closing/Locking Properly:
  • Ensure no items are obstructing the door or locking bolts.
  • Check if the safe is on a level surface. Adjust the leveling feet if needed.
