4. Setup

4.1 Attaching the Stabilizer Bar

1. Unpack all components and identify the main ladder body and the stabilizer bar.
2. Locate the designated slots at the bottom of the ladder for the stabilizer bar.
3. Carefully insert the stabilizer bar into the slots. Ensure it is fully seated and secured. Some force or a rubber mallet may be needed to fully secure the bar and its rubber grips.

4.2 Attaching the Detachable Hooks

1. Identify the two detachable hooks.
2. Align the hooks with the attachment points at the top of the ladder.
3. Slide or click the hooks into place until they are securely fastened.

5.1 Extending the Ladder

1. Place the ladder on a firm, level surface.
2. Starting from the bottom rung, pull each section upwards until it locks into place with an audible click.
3. Continue extending sections one by one until the desired height is reached.
4. Crucially, ensure all locking pins on each rung are fully extended and engaged before climbing.

5.2 Retracting the Ladder

2. Locate the release buttons or levers on each rung.
3. Starting from the top, press the release mechanisms on both sides of a rung simultaneously. The section will retract downwards.
4. Exercise extreme caution to keep fingers and hands clear of the collapsing sections to prevent pinching. Allow the section to retract slowly and controlled.
5. Continue this process for each section until the ladder is fully collapsed.
