3. Setup Guide

3.1. Package Contents

Before proceeding with the setup, ensure all components are present:

  • Briidea Smart WiFi Temperature Controlled Outlet (Model LD-109)
  • 5-foot High-Precision Temperature Sensor
  • User Manual (this document)

3.2. Initial Power-On and Sensor Connection

  1. Unpack the device and its components.
  2. Insert the 5-foot temperature sensor into the designated port on the side of the Briidea Smart WiFi Temperature Controlled Outlet. Ensure it is securely connected.
  3. Plug the Briidea Smart WiFi Temperature Controlled Outlet into a standard 110V AC power outlet. The LCD display will illuminate, showing the current temperature and default settings.

3.3. App Installation and Device Pairing

To utilize the smart features, download and install the Smart Life app on your smartphone or tablet.

  1. Download the Smart Life app from the Google Play Store (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS).
  2. Register or log in to your Smart Life account.
  3. On the app's home screen, tap the "+" icon (usually in the top right corner) to add a new device.
  4. Select "Electrical" or "Thermostat" from the device categories, then choose the appropriate device type (e.g., "Smart Thermostat Plug").
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to put the device into pairing mode. This usually involves pressing and holding a specific button on the outlet until an indicator light flashes rapidly.
  6. Confirm your Wi-Fi network (ensure it's a 2.4GHz network) and enter the Wi-Fi password in the app.
  7. The app will search for and connect to the device. Once connected, you can rename the device for easier identification.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Basic Operation (Device Buttons)

The device features several buttons for direct control:

  • Power Button (): Press to turn the outlet ON or OFF.
  • Mode Button (): Press to switch between Heating and Cooling modes. The current mode will be displayed on the LCD.
  • Up Button (): Increases the target temperature.
  • Down Button (): Decreases the target temperature.
  • Wi-Fi Button (🛈): Used for Wi-Fi pairing (refer to Section 3.3).

To set the desired temperature: Press the Up or Down buttons. The "SET" temperature will flash, allowing you to adjust it. The device will automatically activate or deactivate the connected appliance to maintain this temperature.

4.3. Voice Control (Alexa & Google Assistant)

  1. Ensure your Briidea device is successfully paired with the Smart Life app.
  2. Open the Alexa app or Google Home app.

  4. Follow the prompts to discover devices. Your Briidea outlet should appear.
  5. You can now use voice commands such as:
    • "Alexa, turn on the heater."

5. Maintenance
