Setup

1. Power Supply Installation

The HC600A camera can be powered by AA batteries or its built-in lithium battery, supplemented by the solar charging panel.

  1. AA Batteries: Open the camera housing using the side latches. Locate the AA battery compartment (refer to Figure 2). Insert the required number of AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Note: AA batteries are not included.
  2. Built-in Lithium Battery & Solar Panel: The camera features a built-in 2600mAh lithium battery. The integrated solar charging panel (refer to Figure 1) will continuously charge this battery when exposed to sunlight, providing an uninterruptible power supply for outdoor use.

2. Memory Card Installation

  1. The camera supports up to a 256GB TF (Micro SD) card.
  2. Locate the Micro SD Card Slot at the bottom of the camera (refer to Figure 2).
  3. Insert the Micro SD card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is inserted in the correct orientation.
  4. To remove, gently push the card in until it springs out.

3. Mounting the Camera

The HC600A is designed for outdoor wall or tree mounting.

  • Use the included strap or mounting accessories to secure the camera to a tree or pole.
  • Ensure the camera is positioned to capture the desired area, avoiding direct sunlight into the lens, which can cause overexposure.
  • Position the camera at a height that allows for optimal detection range (up to 80ft during the day, 65ft at night) and a wide detection angle (up to 120°).

Operation

1. Powering On and Mode Selection

  1. Open the camera housing. Locate the Mode Switch (OFF/SETUP/ON) inside (refer to Figure 2).
  2. OFF: Powers off the camera.
  3. SETUP: Enters setup mode. The LCD screen will activate, allowing you to configure settings, view captured media, and test the camera's functions.
  4. ON: Activates the camera for recording. The LCD screen will turn off after a few seconds, and the camera will enter monitoring mode, ready to capture photos or videos based on motion detection.

2. Navigating the Menu (SETUP Mode)

In SETUP mode, use the control buttons (refer to Figure 2) to navigate the menu:

  • Menu Button: Accesses the main menu for settings.
  • WiFi/Up Button: Navigates up in menus or activates Wi-Fi (if applicable).
  • Video Mode/Right Button: Switches to video mode or navigates right.
  • Photo Mode/Left Button: Switches to photo mode or navigates left.
  • Playback/Down Button: Enters playback mode to review captured media or navigates down.
  • OK Button: Confirms selections or starts/ends video recording/photo taking in live view.

3. Configuring Settings

Access the Menu in SETUP mode to adjust various camera parameters:

  • Photo Resolution: Select from 24/20/16/12/8/5/3/1MP. Higher resolution provides more detail but uses more storage.
  • Video Resolution: Choose from 1080P (Full-HD), 720P, 480P, or 240P. Video format is MOV.
  • Detection Sensitivity: Adjust the PIR sensor sensitivity for motion detection.
  • Trigger Interval: Set the delay between consecutive triggers.
  • Time Stamp: Enable or disable date and time stamping on photos/videos.
  • Language: Select your preferred language (English, Japanese, Italian, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Russian, Latin American Spanish).
  • Format SD Card: Format the inserted Micro SD card. Warning: This will erase all data on the card.
  • Date/Time: Set the current date and time.

4. Capturing Media

  • Once settings are configured, switch the Mode Switch to ON.
  • The camera will enter monitoring mode. When motion is detected within the 120° detection angle and up to 80ft (day) / 65ft (night) distance, the camera will automatically capture photos (JPEG format) or videos (MOV format) based on your settings.
  • The camera features 940nm (No Glow) fill light LEDs for discreet night vision capture.
  • The trigger time is approximately 0.3 seconds.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lens and housing. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Check: Regularly check the battery level, especially if not relying solely on the solar panel. Replace AA batteries when low.
  • SD Card Management: Periodically review and back up data from your Micro SD card. Format the card regularly to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption.
  • Environmental Protection: Although IP65 waterproof, avoid submerging the camera in water. Ensure the latches are securely closed to maintain water resistance.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, remove AA batteries and store the camera in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting
