Setup and Installation
The Aquaflo QCUF replacement filter kit features a tool-free, quick-change design for easy maintenance. Each filter can be installed in minutes without specialized tools or plumbing skills.
Installation Steps:
- Turn off Water Supply: Locate the cold water supply valve to your filtration system and turn it off. Depressurize the system by opening the filtered water faucet.
- Remove Old Filters: For each filter to be replaced, twist the old filter cartridge counter-clockwise approximately 1/4 turn until it disengages from the manifold. Pull the filter cartridge downwards to remove it.
- Prepare New Filters: Remove the protective caps from the new filter cartridges.
- Install New Filters: Align the new filter cartridge with the manifold head. Push the filter upwards and twist clockwise approximately 1/4 turn until it locks securely into place. Ensure a snug fit.
- Restore Water Supply: Slowly turn on the cold water supply valve. Check for any leaks around the newly installed filters.
- Flush the System: Open the filtered water faucet and allow water to run for at least 5 minutes to flush out any air and carbon fines. This ensures optimal performance and taste.

Operating Principles
The Aquaflo QCUF system utilizes an advanced 3-stage ultrafiltration process to purify your drinking water:
- Sediment Filter: This first stage removes larger particles such as dirt, rust, and debris, protecting subsequent filters.
- Carbon Block Filter: The second and third stages (two carbon block filters) effectively reduce chlorine, chloramine, unpleasant tastes, and odors from the water.
- Ultra Filtration (UF) Membrane: The final stage removes fine particles, bacteria, parasites, and other contaminants, providing healthier and safer drinking water.

Maintenance
To ensure continuous optimal performance and water quality, it is crucial to replace the entire filter kit annually. Each filter is designed for approximately 12 months of performance, depending on water quality and usage.
Filter Replacement Schedule:
- Replace the complete kit (Sediment Filter, Carbon Block Filters, and UF Membrane) every 12 months.
Regular replacement maintains strong water flow, improved taste, and effective removal of sediment and other contaminants.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Aquaflo QCUF system after replacing filters, consider the following:
- Reduced Water Flow: Check if the filters are securely installed. Ensure the water supply valve is fully open. If filters are old, they may be clogged and require replacement.
- Unusual Taste or Odor: This typically indicates that the carbon block filters are exhausted. Replace the entire filter kit. Ensure the system was properly flushed after installation.
- Leaks: Turn off the water supply immediately. Re-check that each filter cartridge is fully inserted and twisted clockwise until securely locked. Inspect O-rings for damage or misalignment.
- Cloudy Water: After initial installation, some cloudiness may occur due to air or carbon fines. Flush the system for an extended period (10-15 minutes). If cloudiness persists, ensure filters are correctly installed.
