It also features a standard 3.5mm headphone jack for wired listening and an auto-reverse function for continuous playback. 4. Setup
4.1. Powering the Device
The cassette player can be powered by two (2) AA batteries or via the included USB power cable.
- Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the device. Insert two AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the cover securely.
- USB Power: Connect the small end of the USB power cable to the DC 5V port on the side of the player. Connect the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.

4.2. Inserting a Cassette Tape
Gently slide the OPEN switch to open the cassette compartment. Insert your cassette tape with the desired side facing outwards. Close the compartment firmly until it clicks.
4.3. Connecting Wired Headphones
For private listening, connect the included 3.5mm earbuds or your own headphones to the 3.5mm headphone jack on the side of the player.

4.4. Bluetooth Pairing
To transmit audio wirelessly to Bluetooth headphones or speakers:
- Ensure your Bluetooth receiver (headphones/speaker) is in pairing mode.
- Turn on the Mersoco Cassette Player. The device will automatically search for and attempt to pair with nearby Bluetooth receivers.
- Once successfully paired, the Bluetooth indicator light on the player will change (e.g., stop blinking or turn solid blue).
- Begin playing a cassette tape to transmit audio.
Note: The device is designed to connect to one Bluetooth receiver at a time. Avoid attempting to connect to multiple receivers simultaneously.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Playback Controls
- PLAY: Press the PLAY button to start tape playback.
- STOP: Press the STOP button to halt playback.
- FF (Fast Forward): Press the FF button to fast forward the tape. Press STOP to disengage.
- REW (Rewind): Press the REW button to rewind the tape. Press STOP to disengage.
5.2. Auto-Reverse Function
The player features an auto-reverse function for continuous listening without manually flipping the tape.
- DIR (Direction): Press the DIR button to manually change the tape playback direction (Side A to Side B, or vice versa).
- Play Mode: Use the left or right Play Mode button to set the auto-reverse behavior. One setting allows for a single auto-reverse cycle, while another allows for unlimited auto-reverse cycles until stopped.
5.3. Volume Control
Adjust the volume using the rotary volume dial located on the side of the device.
6. Maintenance
6.1. Cleaning
- Wipe the exterior of the player with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Periodically clean the tape head and pinch rollers with a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol to ensure optimal sound quality and prevent tape damage.
6.2. Battery Replacement
When the sound becomes distorted or the player stops functioning, it may be time to replace the AA batteries. Follow the instructions in Section 4.1 to replace them.
7. Troubleshooting
