2. Product Overview
2.1 Front and Rear Panels

The front panel features a power button, a 4-digit 7-segment display, an LED indicator (red/blue), and an infrared sensor. The rear panel includes two DVB-S2X tuner LNB inputs, a Dolby S/PDIF output, an AV jack (for audio/video output), an RS-232 port for maintenance, two Wi-Fi antennas, an HDMI 2.0a output, a USB 2.0 port, a Gigabit LAN port (1000 Mbps), a MicroSD slot, a recovery button, a DC 12V power input, and a power on/off switch.

The right side of the receiver houses a USB 3.0 port and a CA (Conditional Access) card reader slot.
2.3 Internal Components (M.2 Slot)

The receiver includes an internal M.2 slot (M KEY – PCIE NVME) for installing an M.2 SSD, which can be used for recording and timeshift functions. The SSD is not included with the receiver.

4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking and Contents

Carefully unpack the box and ensure all components are present:

4.2 Connections
- Power Connection: Connect the DC 12V power adapter to the receiver's power input and then to a power outlet.
- HDMI to TV: Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI 2.0a output on the receiver and the other end to an HDMI input on your television.
- Satellite Antenna: Connect your DVB-S2X satellite LNB cables to the corresponding LNB inputs on the rear panel.
- Network Connection (Optional): For wired network access, connect an Ethernet cable from your router to the Gigabit LAN port on the receiver. For wireless, ensure Wi-Fi antennas are attached.
- USB Devices (Optional): Connect external USB storage devices to the USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 ports as needed.

4.3 First Power On

5.1 Remote Control Functions

The remote control allows full navigation and control of the receiver's functions. Key buttons include:
- Power: Turns the receiver on/off or into standby.
- Numeric Buttons (0-9): For direct channel input.
- Volume +/-: Adjusts audio volume.
- Channel +/-: Changes channels.
- Menu/OK/Exit: Navigates menus and confirms selections.
- EPG: Accesses the Electronic Program Guide.
- PVR/Timeshift: Controls recording and timeshift functions.

5.2 Dual OS Switching

The receiver supports a multiboot function, allowing you to switch between E2 Linux OS and OCTAGON Define Linux OS. This option is typically available during boot-up or through a specific menu setting. Consult the on-screen prompts or the system settings for detailed instructions on switching between operating systems.
5.3 Channel Scan
To receive satellite channels, you must perform a channel scan. Navigate to the 'Installation' or 'Channel Search' menu in your chosen operating system. Select your satellite configuration (e.g., DiSEqC settings) and initiate a scan. The receiver supports hardware blind scan for comprehensive channel detection.
5.4 PVR and Timeshift
To utilize PVR (Personal Video Recorder) and Timeshift functions, an M.2 SSD must be installed internally or an external USB storage device connected. Once storage is detected:
- Recording: Press the 'Record' button on the remote during a program or schedule recordings via the EPG.
- Timeshift: Press the 'Pause' button during live TV to pause the broadcast. You can then resume, fast-forward, or rewind within the buffered content.
5.5 Media Playback
The receiver functions as a media player, supporting various formats from connected storage (USB, M.2 SSD) or network sources (DLNA). Access the 'Media Player' application from the main menu to browse and play your content.
5.6 Network Features
Utilize the Gigabit LAN or integrated Wi-Fi for internet access. This enables features like online media libraries, internet radio, web browsing, and plugin downloads. The Sat>IP client functionality allows you to receive satellite signals over your home network without a direct LNB connection to the receiver.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the receiver. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Firmware Updates: Regularly check for and install firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features. Updates can typically be performed via OTA (Over-The-Air) or USB.
- Factory Reset: If you encounter persistent issues, a factory reset can restore the receiver to its default settings. Be aware that this will erase all user configurations and installed plugins.
