4.2 Connection Procedure
- Connect your audio source (e.g., mixer, microphone preamplifier) to the Input (1 or 2) ports on the rear panel using appropriate XLR or 1/4" TRS cables.
- Connect the Output (1 or 2) ports of the EX3000 to your amplifier, powered speakers, or recording interface using appropriate XLR or 1/4" TRS cables.
- Ensure all connections are secure.
- Connect the power cable to the Power Socket on the rear panel and then to a suitable AC power outlet.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On and Basic Operation
- After all connections are made, press the Power Switch on the front panel to turn on the EX3000.
- Start with all processing controls (Low Frequency Mixing, High Frequency Mixing, Tune Adjustment) at their neutral or minimum positions.
- Play an audio signal through the unit.
- Gradually adjust the Low Frequency Mixing and High Frequency Mixing controls to achieve the desired vocal optimization and sound enhancement.
- Use the Tune Adjustment to fine-tune the frequency response for optimal clarity.
- Experiment with the Conversion Key and Functional Switch to explore different processing characteristics.
5.2 Advanced Settings
The EX3000 allows for independent processing of high and low frequencies. The LED peak display assists in monitoring signal levels to prevent clipping.
- Harmonic Selection: Continuously adjustable to fine-tune the harmonic content of the audio.
- Dynamic Tracking Circuit: This circuit continuously analyzes the input signal to dynamically adjust and balance the incentive signal with background noise attenuation.
- High-Frequency Incentive Center Frequency: Can be set between 1K Hz and 8K Hz to target specific high-frequency ranges for enhancement.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Ventilation: Ensure the unit has adequate ventilation to prevent overheating. Do not block ventilation openings.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the unit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Servicing: Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Do not attempt to open the unit or perform repairs yourself.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No Power | Power cable not connected; Power outlet faulty; Unit fuse blown. | Check power cable connection; Try a different outlet; Contact service for fuse replacement. |
| No Sound Output | Incorrect input/output connections; Cables faulty; Source device not sending signal; Output level too low. | Verify all audio connections; Test cables; Check source device; Increase output level. |
