Setup

1. Adjusting the Watch Band

The watch features a durable silicone band with an adjustable buckle closure for a tailored fit. To adjust, simply move the buckle pin to the desired hole on the strap. Ensure the watch is snug but comfortable on your wrist.

This watch band is interchangeable with all 22mm Fossil watch straps, including those designed for larger 44MM+ case styles.

2. Setting the Time and Date

To set the time:

1. Pull the crown (center knob on the side of the watch) out to position 2.
2. Rotate the crown to move the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
3. Push the crown back into position 1 to start the watch.

To set the date:

1. Pull the crown out to position 1 (first click).
2. Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust the date.
3. Push the crown back into its original position.

Operating the Chronograph and Tachymeter

The Sport Tourer watch features a Japanese center second chronograph movement and a high-performance tachymeter bezel.

1. Using the Chronograph (Stopwatch)

The chronograph function allows for precise time measurement. It includes three subdials for minutes, seconds, and 24-hour tracking.

1. To start the chronograph, press the top pusher (button above the crown). The large red second hand will begin to move.
2. To stop the chronograph, press the top pusher again. The red second hand will stop, indicating the elapsed time.
3. To reset the chronograph, press the bottom pusher (button below the crown). The red second hand and subdial hands will return to their zero positions.

Important: Never press the reset button while the chronograph is running. Always stop the chronograph first before resetting to prevent damage to the movement.

2. Using the Tachymeter

The tachymeter bezel allows you to measure speed over a known distance (e.g., 1 mile or 1 kilometer).

1. Start the chronograph at the beginning of the measured distance.
2. Stop the chronograph when you reach the end of the measured distance.
3. The position of the red chronograph second hand on the tachymeter scale (around the bezel) will indicate the average speed in units per hour (e.g., miles per hour or kilometers per hour).

Water Resistance

This watch is water resistant up to 50 meters (165 feet), indicated by its 5 ATM rating. This means it is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming and showering. It is not suitable for diving or snorkeling.

Caution: Do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is wet or submerged, as this can compromise the water resistance.

Maintenance

1. General Care

• Avoid exposing your watch to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for prolonged periods, or strong magnetic fields.
• Clean the watch case and strap regularly with a soft, damp cloth. For silicone straps, mild soap and water can be used.
• If the watch comes into contact with saltwater, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and dry it immediately.

2. Battery Replacement

The watch is powered by a product-specific battery (included). When the battery runs low, the watch may stop or the second hand may skip. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

Troubleshooting

• Watch not running: Check if the crown is fully pushed in. If the watch still does not run, the battery may need replacement.
• Date not changing correctly: Ensure the time is set correctly, especially passing midnight. If the date changes at noon, it means the watch is set for AM instead of PM. Advance the time by 12 hours.
• Chronograph hands not resetting to zero: This may indicate a need for calibration. Consult a professional watch repair service.
