3. Setup and Assembly
Assembly typically requires two adults. Follow these general steps. Refer to the included hardware pack for specific fasteners.
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Lay them out on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
- Assemble Daybed Frame: Attach the side rails to the headboard and footboard using the provided bolts and an Allen wrench. Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
- Install Slat System: Place the wooden slats across the bed frame. Secure them to the side rails using the designated fasteners. Ensure even spacing for optimal mattress support.

- Assemble Storage Drawers: Follow the instructions for assembling the two storage drawers. Attach the wheels to the bottom of each drawer.

- Insert Drawers: Slide the assembled drawers under the daybed frame.
- Final Check: Double-check all connections to ensure they are tight and the daybed is stable.
4. Operating Instructions
Using the Daybed
The Merax Twin Size Daybed is designed to accommodate a standard twin-size mattress. No box spring is required due to the integrated slat support system. The daybed functions as both a comfortable sleeping area and a sofa for lounging.
Using the Storage Drawers
The two integrated storage drawers provide convenient space for organizing linens, clothing, toys, or other items. To access the drawers, simply pull them out from under the daybed. To close, push them gently back into place.

5. Maintenance
- Cleaning Fabric: For general cleaning, gently vacuum the upholstered linen fabric to remove dust and debris. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild fabric cleaner following the product's instructions, testing on an inconspicuous area first.
- Frame Care: Wipe the frame components with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Hardware Check: Periodically check all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten as necessary to maintain stability.
- Drawer Maintenance: Keep the drawer tracks clean and free of obstructions to ensure smooth operation.
6. Troubleshooting
- Daybed is Wobbly:
Solution: Ensure all assembly bolts and screws are fully tightened. Check that the daybed is placed on a flat, even surface. - Drawers Do Not Slide Smoothly:
Solution: Check for any obstructions in the drawer tracks or under the daybed. Ensure the drawer wheels are properly installed and free of debris. Verify that the drawers were assembled correctly. - Missing Hardware:
Solution: If hardware was missing upon delivery, contact Merax customer service immediately for replacement parts. Do not attempt to substitute with incorrect hardware. - Unusual Odor:
Solution: If a new product odor is present, ensure the room is well-ventilated. The odor should dissipate over time.
