Setup

1. Battery Installation

The safe requires four AA alkaline batteries (not included) for the electronic keypad to function. The battery compartment is located inside the safe door.

  1. Open the safe using the emergency key (refer to "Initial Opening" below if the safe is locked).
  2. Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the door.
  3. Insert four AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover.

2. Initial Opening (Using Emergency Key)

Upon first use or if the batteries are dead, you will need to use the emergency key to open the safe.

  1. Locate the emergency keyhole, usually hidden behind a small cover on the keypad panel.
  2. Insert the emergency key and turn it counter-clockwise.
  3. While holding the key, turn the knob clockwise to open the safe door.
  4. Remove the key once the safe is open. Keep emergency keys in a secure location, separate from the safe.

3. Setting Your Passcode

After installing batteries and opening the safe, you can set your personal 3-8 digit passcode.

  1. With the safe door open, locate the red reset button on the inside of the door, near the hinge.
  2. Press the red reset button. You will hear a beep, and the yellow light on the keypad will illuminate.
  3. Within 5 seconds, enter your desired 3-8 digit passcode on the keypad.
  4. Press the "#" key to confirm your new passcode. You will hear a confirmation beep.
  5. Test your new passcode with the door open to ensure it works correctly before closing the safe.

4. Mounting the Safe

The safe can be mounted to a floor or wall for added security. Pre-drilled holes are provided on the back and bottom of the safe.

  1. Choose a suitable location for mounting. Ensure the surface is solid and can support the safe's weight.
  2. Position the safe and mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes.
  3. Drill holes at the marked points. Use expansion bolts for concrete walls and clamping screws for wooden surfaces.
  4. Align the safe with the drilled holes and secure it using the provided bolts or screws. Tighten all fasteners firmly.

Operating Instructions

1. Opening with Digital Passcode

  1. Enter your 3-8 digit passcode on the keypad.
  2. Press the "#" key. The green light will illuminate.
  3. Within 5 seconds, turn the knob clockwise to open the safe door.

2. Opening with Emergency Key

This method is used when the passcode is forgotten or batteries are depleted.

  1. Insert the emergency key into the hidden keyhole.
  2. Turn the key counter-clockwise.
  3. While holding the key, turn the knob clockwise to open the safe door.

3. Closing the Safe

  1. Close the safe door firmly.
  2. Turn the knob counter-clockwise to engage the locking bolts.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the safe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries annually or when the low battery indicator light appears. Always use new AA alkaline batteries.
  • Key Storage: Store emergency keys in a secure location away from the safe, but easily accessible to you.
  • Internal Care: The interior is lined with soft carpet; avoid placing sharp objects directly on the lining to prevent damage.
