5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Brightness Adjustment
The clock offers both manual and automatic brightness control:
- Manual Adjustment: Touch the "LIGHT" button on the top or back of the clock to cycle through 5 levels of brightness.
- Automatic Dimmer: The clock automatically adjusts its brightness based on preset time periods (e.g., brighter during the day, dimmer at night). Manual adjustments will be remembered for that specific time period but will revert to system presets when a new period begins.
5.2 Alarm Settings
Your clock supports dual alarms:
- Setting Alarms: Press the "ALARM SET" button on the back. Use "UP" and "DOWN" to set Alarm 1, then press "ALARM SET" again to set Alarm 2.
- Snooze Function: When an alarm sounds, gently tap the clock to activate the 5-minute snooze.
- Alarm Tones: The clock features 40 classic music tunes for alarms. Press the "♪-TUNES" button to cycle through them.
- Weekend Mode: The clock has individual switch buttons on the back to set a five-day or seven-day alarm. When the "WEEK END" icon is lit, the five-day alarm is active. When off, the seven-day alarm is set.

5.3 Voice Control Activation / Always On Mode
The clock can operate in two display modes:
- Voice Control: In this mode, the display turns off to save power and activates when a sound is detected (e.g., clapping, tapping the desk) or by pressing any button. The display will turn off after 6 seconds of inactivity. This mode is recommended when operating on battery power.
- Always On: To keep the screen continuously displayed, press the button labeled "Sun" on the back of the clock. This mode consumes more power and is best used when connected to a power source.

The clock is designed for versatile placement:
- Tabletop: Place the clock on any flat surface such as a desk, nightstand, or shelf.
- Wall Mounted: The clock features double wall hanging holes on the back for easy mounting on a wall.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the clock's surface. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that may damage the finish.
- Power: Always connect the clock with a USB port or a 5V/1A or 5V/2A adapter. Excessive voltage may cause screen damage.
- Battery Life: While the clock has a built-in battery, it is primarily for voice activation mode. For continuous display, always connect to a power source as the battery life is limited (approximately 2 days) due to the large screen.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Abovsare Digital Clock, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Display is off or intermittent. | Voice control mode is active; insufficient power. | Tap the clock or make a sound to activate the display. Ensure the clock is connected to a stable power source (USB cable and adapter) for continuous display. Press the "Sun" button on the back to switch to Always On mode. |
| Temperature reading seems inaccurate. | External factors affecting sensor; sensor calibration. | Ensure the clock is not placed near heat sources, direct sunlight, or air conditioning vents. The temperature sensor is for indoor ambient temperature. If persistent, try resetting the clock. |
| Alarm does not sound or is too quiet. | Alarm not set correctly; volume too low. | Verify alarm settings (time, AM/PM, active status). Adjust alarm volume using the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons during alarm setting or when the alarm is sounding. |
| Clock does not respond to button presses. | Low battery; temporary software glitch. | Connect the clock to a power source. If unresponsive, try resetting the clock by pressing the "reset" button (if available, typically a small pinhole) or disconnecting and reconnecting power. |
