  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
  • Scalding may occur if the water reservoir lid is removed during the brewing cycle.

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all components are present.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the water reservoir, milk reservoir, portafilter, and filter baskets in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
  3. Fill Water Reservoir: Open the lid of the water reservoir located at the back of the machine. Fill with fresh, cold water up to the MAX line. Close the lid securely.
  4. Attach Milk Reservoir: If preparing milk-based drinks, fill the milk reservoir with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) up to the MAX fill line. Ensure the frothing tube is properly inserted into the machine's milk frothing port.
  5. Power Connection: Place the espresso maker on a stable, flat surface. Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  6. First Use Cycle (Priming):
    • Ensure the water reservoir is filled.
    • Place an empty cup under the coffee spout.
    • Press the "Espresso Single" button. The machine will run water through the system to prime it. Repeat this process 2-3 times without coffee to clean the internal components.

Operating Instructions

Brewing Espresso

  1. Prepare Coffee Grounds: Use freshly ground espresso coffee. For a single shot, use the single filter basket; for a double shot, use the double filter basket. Fill the basket with ground coffee and tamp it firmly with the measuring scoop's flat end.
  2. Attach Portafilter: Insert the filled portafilter into the brewing head and twist it firmly to the right until it is securely locked.
  3. Place Cup: Position your espresso cup(s) on the drip tray directly under the portafilter spouts.
  4. Select Brew: Press the Espresso Single or Espresso Double button on the control panel. The machine will automatically brew the selected amount of espresso.

Brewing Cappuccino, Latte, or Americano

  1. Prepare Espresso: Follow steps 1-3 for brewing espresso.
  2. Fill Milk Reservoir: Ensure the milk reservoir is filled with cold milk and properly attached.
  3. Select Drink: Press the desired button: Cappuccino Single/Double, Latte Single/Double, or Americano Single/Double. The machine will automatically brew the espresso and then froth and dispense the milk (for Cappuccino/Latte) or add hot water (for Americano).

Manual Frothing

For manual control over frothing, use the Manual Froth function. This allows you to froth milk to your desired consistency for custom beverages.

  1. Fill the milk reservoir with cold milk.
  2. Place a cup under the frothing nozzle.
  3. Press the Manual Froth button. The machine will begin to froth milk.
  4. Press the button again to stop frothing when desired consistency is reached.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the performance and lifespan of your espresso maker.

Auto Clean Cycle

  • After preparing milk-based drinks, it is recommended to run the auto clean cycle.
  • Place an empty cup under the frothing nozzle.
  • Press the Clean button on the control panel. The machine will rinse the milk frothing system.
  • Repeat if necessary until the water runs clear.

Daily Cleaning

  • Drip Tray: Empty and rinse the drip tray and grid daily.
  • Water Reservoir: Empty any remaining water and rinse the reservoir. Refill with fresh water for each use.
  • Milk Reservoir: After each use, empty any leftover milk, rinse the reservoir, and wash with warm, soapy water.
  • Portafilter and Filter Baskets: Remove spent coffee grounds, rinse thoroughly under running water, and ensure all coffee residue is removed.
  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers.

Descaling

Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) can build up in the machine, affecting performance. Descale your espresso maker every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you have hard water.

  1. Empty the water reservoir.
  2. Fill the water reservoir with a descaling solution (e.g., white vinegar and water, or a commercial descaling agent) according to the descaling product's instructions.
  3. Place a large container under the coffee spout and frothing nozzle.
  4. Run several cycles of espresso and frothing (without coffee/milk) until the reservoir is empty.
  5. Rinse the water reservoir thoroughly and fill with fresh water.
  6. Run several cycles with fresh water to rinse out any descaling solution residue.

Troubleshooting
