Setup and Assembly

The HONEY JOY Kick Scooter is designed for quick and simple assembly.

1. Unfolding the Scooter:

   Locate the folding mechanism near the base of the stem. Follow the instructions provided in the included detailed manual to safely unfold the scooter until it locks into its upright position. Ensure all locking mechanisms are fully engaged before proceeding.

2. Handlebar Installation:

   Insert the handlebar into the stem. Align the holes and secure it firmly using the provided quick-release clamp or locking pin. Ensure the handlebar is straight and does not wobble.

3. Adjusting Handlebar Height:

   The handlebar offers 3 adjustable height positions (36", 37.5", 39") to accommodate riders of different heights and ages. Loosen the quick-release clamp on the stem, adjust the handlebar to the desired height, and then securely tighten the clamp. Ensure the handlebar is locked into one of the designated height settings.

4. Pre-Ride Check:

   Before every ride, perform a quick check:

   • Verify all clamps and bolts are tight.
   • Check that the wheels spin freely and are not obstructed.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for safe and enjoyable scooter operation:

1. Starting to Ride:

   Place one foot firmly on the scooter deck. Use your other foot to push off the ground, gaining momentum. Once you have enough speed, place your second foot on the deck behind the first.

2. Steering:

   Steer the scooter by gently leaning in the desired direction and turning the handlebars. Practice in an open, safe area until you are comfortable with steering.

3. Braking:

   To slow down or stop, gently press your foot down on the rear brake located above the rear wheel. Apply gradual pressure to avoid sudden stops, which can cause loss of balance.

4. Using the Kickstand:

   When not riding, deploy the kickstand to keep the scooter upright and prevent it from falling over.

5. Folding for Storage:

   To fold the scooter, reverse the unfolding process. Ensure the folding mechanism is fully engaged to secure the scooter in its compact form for easy storage or transport.

Maintenance
