1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Rafow 5-in-1 Milk Frother and Steamer. This appliance is designed to provide a versatile and convenient solution for preparing various milk-based beverages, including warm airy milk froth, warm dense milk froth, hot chocolate milk, hot milk, and cold milk froth. Please read this manual thoroughly before first use to ensure safe and optimal operation.

2. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:

• Read all instructions before using the appliance.
• Do not immerse the base unit or power cord in water or other liquids.
• Ensure the voltage rating on the appliance corresponds to your main voltage.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “off”, then remove plug from wall outlet.
• Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
• The appliance is equipped with UL certification and Strix temperature control for safety. It will automatically switch off when milk or froth is ready to prevent burning or over-frothing.

4. Product Overview

5. Setup

Before first use, follow these steps:

1. Unpack the appliance and all accessories.
2. Wipe the exterior of the frother base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.
3. Wash the interior of the milk jug and the whisk attachments with warm soapy water, then rinse thoroughly and dry.
4. Ensure the frother is placed on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface.
5. Insert the desired whisk into the center of the jug. The frothing whisk (with the coil) is for foam, and the stirring whisk (without the coil) is for heating without frothing.

6. Operating Instructions

The Rafow Milk Frother offers 5 distinct functions. It is recommended to use whole milk (fat content > 3%) for optimal frothing results.

General Operation Steps:

1. Place the frother jug onto the power base.
2. Add milk to the jug, observing the capacity markings (see Section 7).
3. Press the power button (⏻) to turn on the frother. The LED display will illuminate.
4. Press the settings button (⚙) repeatedly to cycle through the 5 modes until your desired function is selected. The corresponding icon will light up.
5. Press the power button (⏻) again to start the selected function. The real-time temperature will be displayed.
6. The frother will automatically stop when the process is complete, indicated by a beep and the display turning off.

Specific Function Details:

• Warm Airy Milk Froth: Use the frothing whisk. Heats milk to approximately 65°C.
• Warm Dense Milk Froth: Use the frothing whisk. Heats milk to approximately 65°C.
• Hot Chocolate Milk: Use the stirring whisk. Add milk and chocolate powder/syrup. Heats to approximately 65°C.
• Hot Milk: Use the stirring whisk. Heats milk to approximately 65°C without frothing.
• Cold Milk Froth: Use the frothing whisk. Froths milk without heating.

7. Capacity Guidelines

Observe the internal markings in the milk jug to prevent overflow and ensure proper operation.

• Maximum Milk Capacity for Frothing: 150 ml
• Minimum Milk Capacity for Frothing: 100 ml
• Maximum Milk Capacity for Heating (without frothing) or Hot Chocolate: 300 ml

Note: Do not exceed the maximum capacity scale for each mode to avoid milk overflow during operation.

8. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your milk frother.

1. Always unplug the frother from the power outlet and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning.
2. Remove the whisk attachment from the jug. Wash the whisk with warm soapy water and rinse.
3. The interior of the milk jug has a non-stick coating. Use the provided cleaning brush or a soft, damp cloth to wipe the interior clean. Do not use abrasive materials or harsh detergents.
4. Wipe the exterior of the frother base with a damp towel.
5. Important: The frother base is not waterproof. Do not immerse the base unit in water or place it under running water. Ensure the bottom and outside of the base do not come into contact with water.
6. The frother is not suitable for dishwashers. Hand wash only.
7. Ensure all parts are completely dry before storing or next use.
