4. Setup & Installation

4.1. Window Kit Assembly

  1. Position and insert the wing nut into the designated slot on the window panel.
  2. Connect 2 or 3 window panels together according to your window's dimensions. The kit is adjustable for windows between 25.5 and 76 inches.
  3. Secure the connected panels using the provided screws.

4.2. Exhaust Hose Connection

  1. Stretch the exhaust hose to its required length (up to 6 inches).
  2. Twist the hose outlet onto one end of the exhaust hose.
  3. Connect the hose inlet and insect guard to the other end of the exhaust hose.
  4. Connect the hose outlet to the opening in the assembled window kit and screw them tightly.
  5. Attach the hose inlet to the exhaust port on the back of the portable air conditioner unit. Ensure it clicks into place securely.

4.3. Unit Placement

Place the portable air conditioner on a firm, level surface near a window. Ensure there is at least 20 inches (50 cm) of clearance around the unit for optimal airflow and performance.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Control Panel and Remote Control

The unit can be operated using the control panel on top of the unit or the included remote control. Both offer similar functionalities.

5.2. Power On/Off

Press the POWER button to turn the unit on or off.

5.3. Mode Selection

Press the MODE button to cycle through the available operating modes:

  • Cool Mode: Provides cooling. Adjust the temperature using the Up/Down arrows.
  • Dry Mode (Dehumidifier): Removes moisture from the air. Ensure continuous drainage is set up.
  • Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling.

5.4. Temperature Adjustment

In Cool Mode, use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) arrow buttons to set your desired temperature between 61°F and 88°F (16°C and 31°C).

5.5. Fan Speed

Press the SPEED button to select between High and Low fan speeds.

5.6. Timer Function

Press the TIMER button to set a delayed start or stop time for the unit, up to 24 hours. Use the Up/Down arrows to adjust the time.

5.7. Sleep Mode

Press the SLEEP button to activate sleep mode. In this mode, the unit operates more quietly and gradually adjusts the temperature for optimal sleeping comfort.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your portable air conditioner.

6.1. Cleaning the Air Filter

The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.

  1. Turn off and unplug the unit.
  2. Locate the air filter panels on the back of the unit.
  3. Gently pull out the air filters.
  4. Wash the filters under running water (preferably warm, not hot) with a mild detergent.
  5. Allow the filters to air dry completely before reinstalling. Do not expose to direct sunlight.
  6. Reinsert the dry filters into the unit.

6.2. Water Drainage

The unit has an internal water tank. When it fills, the unit will stop operating and display an error code (e.g., 'FL' for Full). You can drain the water manually or set up continuous drainage.

  • Manual Drainage: Place a shallow pan or tray under the drain port at the bottom rear of the unit. Remove the drain plug to allow water to flow out. Replace the plug once drained.
  • Continuous Drainage (Recommended for Dehumidifier Mode): Connect a drain hose (not included, but a standard garden hose can be used) to the continuous drain port. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity drainage into a suitable container or floor drain.

6.3. Storage

If the unit will not be used for an extended period:

  1. Drain all water from the unit.
  2. Clean the air filters.
  3. Run the unit in Fan mode for a few hours to dry the interior.
  4. Unplug the power cord and wrap it neatly.
  5. Store the unit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
