4. Setup
4.1 Charging the Quadcopter Battery
- Connect the quadcopter battery to the USB charging cable.
- Plug the USB charging cable into a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
- The charging indicator light on the USB cable will illuminate during charging and turn off (or change color) when fully charged.
- Charging time is approximately 60 minutes. For optimal performance, ensure a full charge of at least 40 minutes before first use.
- Do not overcharge the battery. Disconnect once fully charged.
4.2 Installing Transmitter Batteries
- Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote transmitter.
- Insert 4 x 1.5V AA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment securely.
4.3 Propeller Installation (if required)
The quadcopter typically comes with propellers pre-installed. If replacement is needed:
- Identify the correct propeller type (A or B) for each motor. Propellers are usually marked.
- Carefully push the propeller onto the motor shaft until it is secure. Ensure it spins freely.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Pairing the Quadcopter with the Transmitter
- Place the quadcopter on a flat, level surface.
- Turn on the quadcopter's power switch. The LED lights will flash.
- Turn on the remote transmitter's power switch.
- Push the left stick (throttle) all the way up, then all the way down.
- The quadcopter's LED lights will stop flashing and remain solid, indicating successful pairing.
5.2 Basic Flight Controls
- Take-off: After pairing, gently push the left stick (throttle) upwards to lift off.
- Landing: Gently pull the left stick (throttle) downwards until the quadcopter lands.
- Altitude Control (Left Stick Up/Down): Increases or decreases the quadcopter's height.
- Yaw Control (Left Stick Left/Right): Rotates the quadcopter clockwise or counter-clockwise.
- Forward/Backward (Right Stick Up/Down): Moves the quadcopter forward or backward.
- Left/Right Sideways Flight (Right Stick Left/Right): Moves the quadcopter left or right sideways.
5.3 360-Degree Rolling Function
- Ensure the quadcopter is flying at a sufficient height (at least 3 meters).
- Press the 360° Flip button on the transmitter.
- Immediately push the right stick in the desired direction (forward, backward, left, or right) to perform a flip.
5.4 Headless Mode
Headless mode allows the quadcopter to fly according to the orientation of the pilot, regardless of the drone's front direction. Refer to the transmitter's specific button for activating/deactivating headless mode.
Flight Time: Approximately 5-10 minutes per charge.
Control Distance: Up to 40 meters.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the quadcopter and transmitter. Do not use water or solvents.
- Propellers: Inspect propellers for damage after each flight. Replace any bent or broken propellers with spare parts.
- Storage: Store the quadcopter and transmitter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Remove batteries from the transmitter if storing for extended periods.
- Battery Care: Do not puncture, short-circuit, or expose the Li-Po battery to extreme temperatures.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Quadcopter does not respond. | Low battery (quadcopter or transmitter), not paired, power switch off. | Charge quadcopter battery, replace transmitter batteries, ensure both are powered on, re-pair. |
| Quadcopter flies erratically/unstable. | Damaged propellers, uneven surface during pairing, trim settings incorrect. | Replace damaged propellers, re-pair on a flat surface, adjust trim buttons. |
| Short flight time. | Battery not fully charged, old battery. | Ensure full charge, consider replacing battery if performance degrades significantly. |
| Quadcopter cannot lift off. | Low battery, propellers installed incorrectly, motors obstructed. | Charge battery, check propeller installation (A/B), ensure no obstructions. |
