Generic Replacement Remote Control for MLily NL400 Adjustable Bed Base

Important Information

This manual provides instructions for the Generic replacement remote control designed for specific MLily adjustable bed base models. Please read all instructions carefully before use.

Compatibility Note: This remote control is not universal. It is specifically designed to work with MLily adjustable bed bases that utilize a Richmat control box, model number HJC25Z-0-0 NLP200 127780C250059 or HJC9. Your existing remote control must have identical buttons to this replacement remote for proper functionality. Please verify your control box model and existing remote's appearance before attempting to pair.

Batteries are not included with this remote control. You will need two (2) AAA batteries.

Setup: Battery Installation

To install the batteries, follow these steps:

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide the cover downwards or press the latch to remove it.
3. Insert two (2) AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover, sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

Operating Instructions: Pairing the Remote Control

Before using the remote, it must be paired with your adjustable bed base's control box. This remote is compatible with Richmat control boxes, specifically model HJC25Z-0-0 NLP200 127780C250059 or HJC9.

Important Pre-pairing Steps:

• Unplug the adjustable bed base from the power outlet.
• Wait for at least 5 seconds.
• Plug the bed base back into the power outlet.
• Locate the control box under the bed. This box may also be referred to as the battery backup box or power down box.
• Double-click the reset button on the control box twice.

Pairing Procedure:

1. On the remote control, simultaneously press and hold the "Head Up" button and the "Foot Up" button for 10 seconds. These are typically the buttons that raise the head and foot sections of the bed.
2. While still holding the two buttons on the remote, press and release the "Learn" or "Reset Coding" button on the side of the control box under the bed. Do not press and hold this button; a quick press and release is sufficient.
3. Listen for beeps. Once you hear a series of beeps, this indicates that the remote control has successfully synced with the bed base.

Timing is Critical: The pairing process must be completed within 15 seconds of the initial power cycle and double-click of the reset button. If 15 seconds pass without successful pairing, the light on the control box may go out, and you will need to unplug the power again and restart the entire process from the "Important Pre-pairing Steps." Ensure the light on the control box is on when attempting to pair.

• Remote not responding:
  • Ensure batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Replace with fresh AAA batteries if necessary.
  • Verify that the remote is pointed towards the bed base's receiver during operation.
• Remote not pairing:
  • Confirm that your bed base uses a Richmat HJC25Z-0-0 NLP200 127780C250059 or HJC9 control box. This remote is not universally compatible.
  • Ensure you have followed all pre-pairing steps, including unplugging and re-plugging the bed base, and double-clicking the reset button on the control box.
  • Make sure the pairing steps (holding remote buttons, then pressing control box button) are completed within the 15-second window while the control box light is active. If not, restart the entire power cycle and pairing process.
  • Ensure your old remote is identical to this one in terms of button layout.
• Intermittent functionality:
  • Check for any obstructions between the remote and the bed base's receiver.
  • Replace batteries if they are low.
