Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your utility pump.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Pump does not start. | No power, tripped circuit breaker, faulty outlet. | Check power connection, reset circuit breaker, test outlet with another device. |
| Low or no water flow. | Clogged intake screen, kinked hose, air lock, pump not fully submerged. | Clean intake screen, straighten hose, ensure pump is fully submerged, prime pump if necessary. |
| Pump runs but no water is discharged. | Air lock, discharge hose blocked, pump not submerged enough. | Ensure pump is fully submerged, check for blockages in hose, tilt pump to release trapped air. |
| Pump cycles on and off frequently. | Water level too low for continuous operation, debris interfering with float switch (if applicable). | Ensure sufficient water level for continuous operation. This model does not have a float switch, so this issue is less likely unless an external one is used. |
