4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Initial Setup

  1. Plug in the Receiver: Insert the receiver into a standard AC 100-240V wall outlet. The LED indicator will light up.
  2. Activate the Sensor: Locate the battery compartment on the sensor unit. Remove the battery insulating tab to activate the sensor.

4.2 Sensor Mounting

The sensor and magnetic strip must be installed with a gap of no more than 0.4 inches (1 cm) between them when the door/window is closed. They should be aligned horizontally or vertically.

You have two options for mounting the sensors:

Adhesive Tape Mounting

  1. Clean the surface where the sensor will be mounted.
  2. Peel off one side of the double-sided adhesive tape and attach it to the back of the sensor unit.
  3. Peel off the other side of the tape and firmly press the sensor onto the desired location on your door or window frame.
  4. Repeat for the magnetic strip, ensuring proper alignment and gap.

Screw Mounting

  1. Open the sensor casing to reveal the screw holes.
  2. Mark the positions for the screws on your door or window frame.
  3. Drill pilot holes if necessary.
  4. Secure the sensor unit and magnetic strip using the provided screws and screw locks.

5. Operation

5.1 Changing Ringtones

The system offers 62 selectable ringtones. To change the ringtone:

  1. Press the 'Setting' button on the receiver to cycle through the available ringtones.
  2. Once you hear the desired ringtone, stop pressing the button. The receiver will save this selection automatically due to its smart memory function.

5.3 Mute Mode (0dB)

To silence the chime while still receiving visual alerts, activate the mute mode. In this mode, the receiver's LED indicator will flash when a sensor is triggered, but no sound will be emitted. This is useful for quiet environments or during sleep.

5.4 Expandability and Pairing Additional Devices

The system is expandable, allowing you to pair up to 20 chime sensors with one receiver, or one door sensor with up to 20 receivers. This feature enables customization for various needs, such as monitoring multiple entry points or having alerts in different rooms.

To pair an additional sensor or receiver:

  1. On the receiver, press and hold the 'Setting' button for approximately 3-5 seconds until the LED indicator starts flashing rapidly. This indicates pairing mode.
  2. Within 10 seconds, trigger the sensor you wish to pair (e.g., separate the magnetic strip from the sensor unit).
  3. The receiver will chime once to confirm successful pairing.
  4. To pair multiple sensors with different ringtones, select a ringtone on the receiver before pairing each sensor.

5.5 Smart Memory Function

The receiver retains your last selected ringtone and volume settings even after a power outage or being unplugged. You do not need to reconfigure settings each time it is powered on.

6. Applications

7. Maintenance

7.1 Battery Replacement (Sensors)

The sensors are powered by 12V batteries. When the sensor's LED indicator no longer flashes upon activation, or if the signal range decreases significantly, it may be time to replace the battery.

  1. Carefully open the sensor casing.
  2. Remove the old 12V battery.
  3. Insert a new 12V battery, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Close the sensor casing securely.

7.2 Cleaning

Wipe the receivers and sensors with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the devices in water.

8. Troubleshooting

  • No Chime Sound:
    • Ensure the receiver is properly plugged into a live outlet.
    • Check if the receiver is in mute mode. Adjust the volume.
    • Verify the sensor battery is not depleted. Replace if necessary.
    • Re-pair the sensor with the receiver (refer to Section 5.4).
  • Sensor Not Triggering:
    • Check the gap between the sensor unit and the magnetic strip. It must be ≤ 0.4 inches when closed.
    • Ensure the sensor battery is functional.
    • Verify the sensor and receiver are within the 600ft operating range, free from major obstructions.
  • Reduced Range:
    • Replace the sensor battery.
    • Relocate the receiver or sensor to minimize interference from large metal objects, thick walls, or other wireless devices.
