5. Operating Instructions

  • Mattress Placement: Place a standard twin-size mattress on both the upper and lower bunks. Ensure the upper bunk mattress does not exceed 6 inches in thickness to maintain guardrail safety.
  • Weight Capacity: The maximum weight capacity for both the upper and lower bunks is 220 lbs (100 kg). Do not exceed this limit.
  • Drawer Use: The two integrated drawers can be used for storing clothes, bedding, or other items. Ensure they slide smoothly and are not overloaded.
  • Cabinet Use: The multi-layer cabinet provides additional storage space. Distribute weight evenly across shelves.
  • Ladder Use: Always use the provided ladder to access the upper bunk. Do not jump on or off the bunk bed.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe down the bed frame with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that may damage the finish.
  • Fastener Checks: Periodically (e.g., every 3 months) check all bolts, screws, and fasteners to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten if necessary to maintain structural integrity and safety.
  • Slats: Ensure all wooden slats are properly seated and undamaged. Replace any broken slats immediately.
  • Drawers and Cabinet: Keep drawer slides clean and free of debris for smooth operation.

7. Troubleshooting

Bed feels wobbly or unstable:
Check all assembly bolts and screws. Tighten any loose fasteners. Ensure the bed is on a level surface.
Drawers do not slide smoothly:
Check for obstructions in the drawer slides. Ensure the drawers are assembled correctly and not overloaded. Clean the slides if necessary.
Squeaking noises:
Identify the source of the squeak. Often, tightening loose bolts or applying a small amount of lubricant to metal-on-metal contact points can resolve this. Ensure slats are properly seated.
