General Safety

  • Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the fireplace.
  • Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the fireplace.
  • Always unplug the fireplace when not in use.
  • Do not operate any fireplace with a damaged cord or plug or after the fireplace malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner.

Electrical Safety

  • This fireplace is for use on 120 Volt, 60 Hz electrical circuits.
  • Do not overload electrical circuits.
  • Ensure the power outlet is properly grounded.
  • The fireplace can be plugged in or hardwired. Consult a qualified electrician for hardwiring.

General Installation Guidelines

Installation Types

The HIRESC 3-sided electric fireplace supports various recessed installations:

  • Fully Recessed: The entire unit is flush with the wall.
  • Half-Recessed: A portion of the unit protrudes from the wall.
  • Single-Sided: Only the front view is visible.
  • 2-Sided: Front and one side view are visible.
  • 3-Sided: Front and both sides are visible, offering a panoramic flame display.

Electrical Connection

The fireplace offers two connection methods:

  • Plug-in: Connect the power cord directly to a standard 120V grounded outlet.
  • Hardwired: For a permanent installation, the unit can be hardwired into your home's electrical system. This procedure should only be performed by a qualified electrician to ensure compliance with all electrical codes.

Media Installation (Logs/Crystals)

After the fireplace is securely installed, carefully place the provided sparkling crystals, fireglass, or firelog set into the ember bed area. Ensure they are evenly distributed for optimal flame effect.

5. Operating Instructions

Your HIRESC electric fireplace can be controlled via the Smart Life App, the unit's panel buttons, or the included remote control.

Control Methods

  • Smart Life App: Download the Smart Life app on your smartphone to control all fireplace functions, including flame colors, brightness, heating, and timer settings.
  • Panel Buttons: Located on the unit, these buttons provide direct control over basic functions such as power, flame brightness, flame color, heater, and reset.
  • Remote Control: The included remote offers comprehensive control over all features, mirroring the functionality of the Smart Life App.

Flame Effects

The fireplace features 251 RGB LED flame combinations. The flame, ember bed, and downlight can be controlled separately or together.

  • Flame Colors: Choose from 251 RGB color combinations by mixing 3 basic colors (red, green, blue).
  • Flame Brightness: Adjust the flame intensity with 5 dimmer levels.
  • Independent Lighting Control: The flame, ember bed, and downlight can be set to different colors and intensities for customized ambiance.
  • Operation without Heat: The 3D flame effects can be used independently without activating the heating function.

Heating Functions

The integrated heater provides supplemental warmth for rooms up to 400 square feet.

  • Heat Settings: Select between 750W (low) and 1500W (high) power consumption.
  • Temperature Adjustment: Set the desired room temperature from 62°F to 82°F.
  • Quiet Operation: Designed for minimal noise, ideal for use during sleep.
  • Timer Function: Set an automatic shut-off timer from 1 to 8 hours.

Cleaning

  • Always disconnect power before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or sprays.
  • Clean the glass panel with a soft cloth and glass cleaner.
  • Periodically vacuum the air inlets and outlets to prevent dust buildup.

Storage

If storing the fireplace for an extended period, unplug it and store it in a dry, dust-free location.

7. Troubleshooting
